To only be able to hit deep shots with luck or well inside the baseline is hardly realistic. I get that the game is pretty much spot on for the average stroke depth (nice research in the link you posted), but playing an entire match without hitting a shot long or near the baseline seems strange. No need for hawkeye feature here

Yes, the variance in shot depth does not seem to be accurate even though the mean is spot on. I would like to have controls like top spin 3, where we had a modifier buttons, one for deep(and wide) shots and one for power(although that game had terrible physics, specially for these particular shots, and we can trust you on this considering the TE4 has excellent physics). I think that would not affect the balance of the rest of the game, and we'll be able to hit deep returns like Djokovic in the game.

in TE2013, there are way too many deep shots, and more importantly, there are very few normal deeply shots (ie: a bit after the service line), except when using the short strikes, and there are almost no really short strikes (ie: noticeably before the service line). So yes, overall, TE4 is much more realistic on the strike depth, and not only on the mean, but also on the distribution between around the line 1-meter before the baseline, as exposed in the mini-blog post linked before.

After, gameplay-wise, if there's a basic manual way to hit deep (eg: press a button, or put the stick up, etc.), then an unrealistic amount of shots will be too deep.

Lastly, in TE2013, except on strikes not prepared long enough, or when you're misplaced, there's no way to hit long ; so there, TE4 is already a bit better because overall there's a bit more chance to hit long (the main visible example is the return of serves of the IA, when returning difficult services).

Thus said, I tested a bit and indeed, the game could use a few deeper shots ; I think that long prepared strikes while standing on the baseline or a bit inside would be good candidates to get such kind of strikes...

The amount of information and data on forum is overwhelming so it is sometimes hard to find answers, especially to questions related to TE4. Is it possible to edit (manual option would be best) outfits of NPC players in world tour? Some of them (especially big3 looks bad on them and I really want to edit it)

Manutoo I have spoken with other players. It is no wonder that when you change sides on the track there is such a difference in light, I should correct it and be the same brightness on both sides of the track.
