Note: the game changes almost every month, so it's not much good to do a presentation video before it's more stable.

Unfortunately that doesn't change anything, and I'm not sure he was talking about the same problem. I rebooted several times, reinstalled the game several times, removed the few mods, it doesn't change anything. I still have this blue screen since the update, so I can't play

I just wanna give you my quick honest thoughts about the current state of TE4. So first off, I find that the new physics are very good and pretty promising. It's starting to feel more and more like real tennis compared to TE13 which seems more arcade-ish compared to this. I don't wanna talk too much about gameplay and balance because I would need to play a lot more online matches, but so far I find that the current game is pretty enjoyable, even if it's unpolished. The one thing I don't like about TE4 right now is the new animation system. Sometimes on low balls the player just does some weird movement with his legs, which I find unnatural and unappealing to look at. In other instances the player's weight transfer and trunk movement looks really awkward. One last thing I would like to be fixed is for Discord and OBS to be able to capture TE4, as it doesn't work for me

I really like the game and I think it has a ton of potential to become far superior than TE13, but if TE4 were to come out officially tomorrow, I don't think I would play it instead of TE13.

You are sure you have deleted the whole "Documents/Tennis Elbow 4" folder, rebooted your Mac and launched again the Launcher ?
Could you send me these 2 files :
- Launcher :~/Library/Logs/Mana Games/TennisElbow4-Launcher/Player.log
- TE4 : ~/Library/Logs/Mana Games/Tennis Elbow 4/Player.log

the dynamic animation system won't get perfect (except if I can find a way to produce 9 anims per strike instead of 1, or at least 4 ), but it should be a bit better when it'll have stretched anims, and when I'll force the players to do a couple more steps when they bend forward too much (so it'll be more physically correct).
Quick note : it seems the women animations are completely bugged right now when hitting on the run, I'll have to fix that ASAP...

I had forgotten the Tennis Elbow 4 folder in my Documents, I did what you asked me to do, and thankfully, it's working

for today's update, while fixing the bug for the women, I took the occasion to tune a bit the time taken to stretch the player to the ball. Could you check and tell if you notice anything different, and if yes, if it's better than before or not..?

good news !

I just wanted to say that today I accidentally discovered that if I switch the player detail to normal, then the old player models come in !
now I became convinced of what I was missing!
Maybe it's just my impressions, but even the animation system works better and smoother on this settings. Players looks more "serious", more massive. I think they just fit the "TE series" more (And it's probably not just a matter of sentiment )
The new ones are such thin, short-legged sticks: D

1) I compared the new male player to the legacy one, and indeed his legs are noticeably shorter ; I'll try to lengthen them a bit (I already did but ran into a technical issue with the model so I just asked the artist if he could fix it ).

2) The legacy model is a just a place holder while waiting for a low-detail version of the new model, so eventually it'll disappear from the menus, but you should be able to reactivate it from the Tennis.ini .

Thus said, the legacy model really looks more massive, which may not be necessary a plus...

Is it normal that when I try to play in a network, and I select pre-defined play styles (as a background game), it saves me in my player 1 in the Training Club? So when I'm waiting for a game when I'm looking for players, I have to play with that same player. So yes, I train with this player, it's a good thing, but I would have liked to have been able to choose the "real" players, because otherwise I have a player with very high characteristics especially in service. Online, I don't know, but against AI it's almost weird.

Btw is there an option to put fair/realistic mode for offline like there is in TE13? If not, do you plan on adding that?

Manu i believe that netplay is very overpowered, especially for the AI. Its very difficult to make a passing shot or a winning lob…
