@manutoo: thanks for the Linux build, i can report back after playing just one set in training that everything works without issues, game runs smooth as butter :)

3440x1440 Resolution
AMD Ryzen 2600
Gforce 1070 8GB
16GB Ram
Xbox One Elite 2 Controller with Microsoft Wireless Dongle

i play on highest settings and it runs stable at 60fps and is smooth, would be nice to have the lock removed that i can play it with 100fps :)
Controller was detected and works as it should.

Linux Mint 19.3 Cinnamon (Ubuntu 18.04 base)
i will update to Linux Mint 20 maybe in the next two weeks then i will let you know again how it will run on Ubuntu 20.04 base.

So well done for the Linux build and thanks for it.

did you try to raise the JoyDeadZone (as join above) ?
It'll be changeable in the Controls menu for the next update.

I've been opening the folder, closing the game, changing the deadzone, and then reopening the game. I tried up to 1.12 and was still having problems. What number(s) should I try?

Werner,
Good news, thanks for your report !

You should be able to turn off the V-Sync in the Video -> Advanced options.

I took the occasion to also try a Linux build for TEM2 ! Could you test it as well : https://www.managames.com/predownload_e ... ux_t1b.zip ? I'd like to know if the "order game" page opens in your browser when you close the game.

I'll try to contact gamingonlinux.com once the Early Version will have been released (ie: when the TE2013 ballboys & crowd won't be anymore in the game :) ).

GooeyHead,
As having 1.12 should disable any input from the analog stick, I guess you're playing with the pad ; in that case, you should download yesterday's version, as the one from Friday was bugged for all digital input (ie: keyboard & pad).

Manutoo yes when i close TEM2 it opens this site "file:///home/werner/Games/Tennis%20Elbow%20Manager%202/Doc/De_BestellungDerVollversion.html" in the browser.

Because i saw you include here a 32bit version, i am not sure if it is needed anymore, because most distributions start to drop 32bit support, so in my eyes should be enough to ship only 64bit build.

Werner,
good, thanks again ! :)

It costs me nothing to put the 32-bit version, so I can let it there even if it's useful for only 1 person... :P

I forgot one thing important to test : could you edit the player name in Training Club -> Character Sheet, both in TE4 & TEM2 ? It was the thing that gave me the most problem with Dungeon Guardians because the Linux version of Unity's text editing was bugged.

I believe that if you put some more realistic animations (sliding, long reach, net approach) the game will be perfect!!! Keep on!!!

I bought TEM4 yesterday because I love TEM2 so much. It is a fantastic sports simulator! :applause:

Depending on the score I would like to share my impressions, report (possible) bugs, give suggestions or suggestions for improvement. I hope this is in the right place? - Please see my thoughts only for hints.

1. Dark cement: The structure should be finer, according to the scale.

2. Change of sides: In TEM2 the picture becomes brighter, but in TEM4 darker. I mean, this is not so good. Then I always think that the lamps should go on immediately. So, brighter would be more logical for me in the sunshine and in the open sky.

3. The bodies should have a little reduced brightness.

4. It would be great if you could zoom in on the player with the camera, central mouse wheel etc.

5. Cool feature: rain, light = continue playing and heavy rain = game interruption for hours.

6. The breaks in a game: players sit in their chairs. The gamer can think of a new tactic for example. This would be more realistic than just the sentence information, which is of course excellent.

5 and 6, we don't need interruptions in the games. This is straying way too far into a simulation rather than a videogame.

Amadeo,
it's TE4. ;)
"M" is for "manager", and there's almost no management in TE4. :blackeye:

1) Do you mean the grey cement ground ?

2) You can turn off the change of lighting with Settings -> Camera -> Force Sun in the Back

4) You want to see a close-up of their body & faces ? Else, you can change the zoom to play in Settings -> Camera

tennisfan3344,
don't worry, if I were to add such kind of cutscene, I'd make them disable from the menus

Postby CHAPI » 17 Jul 2020, 10:34

manutoo,

first of all great job! I just bought the game and played my first match and I was impressed with the revamped gameplay that makes it feel like real-life tennis even more.
I have 2 questions though: I felt like the game is a little bit more slow, the players move a bit more slowly I feel, especially when they start their move. This caused me to get my positionning wrong quite regularly, because I arrived on the ball too quickly or too late.
Secondly, my game lags when I play in bigger stadiums. That was really disappointing as I really wanted to test out the new 3d environment. Any solution for this?

Thanks for everything.

Hey Manu! I just got back to the game after a lot of time where I couldn't play because I was too busy with work. I was eager to try the new features but I got that annoying glitch (or whatever it is) where my player constantly moves to the left (left, not right as many others have pointed in this thread before). I tried tweaking JoyDeadZone setting but it's still happening and I find it impossible to play like that :(

Do you know what might be causing this? I'd be happy to send you a bug report or anything that you need to fix it, just let me know! :D

CHAPI,
1) Players are indeed slower now ; their run acceleration & deceleration at 100% speed are more much realistic than in TE2013 where they'd beat Usain Bolt.
As it gives some issues to several users, I'll likely add an optional run boost helper in the future.

2) Try to lower the Far Crow density in Settings -> Video -> Advanced.
Alternatively, you can turn on the 2D Background.
What is your GPU ?

Strikeware203,
are you sure you have the latest version ?
What is your controller ? If you play with the pad instead of the analog stick, does it work better ?
