Well this update is not bad, but still the game is going in Slowmotion ! I think everybody has the same problem, the game goes very slowly, in every match I played it was slow, can you fix that Manutoo as soon as you can please ?

- Gameplay : Ball difficulty raised when very short time to prepare a volley
This might be it

- Animation : Backhand slice tuned
Highly unrealistic animation :fear:

The autopositioning is well on a smash, but it will be better create the famous sampras slam dunk when yur risin' the net very fast without missin it

Somil and I found that "lag", when using RODDICK's Service, the game get's slow(motion), and I tried with Somil, I change my service style to another, and the game was good, it was better. So Roddick's Service make some lags, can you fix that Manutoo ? The forehand works well, there's no problem with it.

I don't have Roddick shots and it's slow motion, the people reporting it's normal most likely played in higher ping where the speed appears good, but is still infact slower than in the previous version. When the ping goes below hundred it's very unenjoyable to play because it's so slow.

that might be it, I haven't played with any chilean yet to compare 20-50ms with other matches I've played, but in high ping at least, the game plays good

Most of the same bugs still are there. I mean the new serve and forhand its no problem. But the new thing when u playing on net its horrible. I missed 90 % of very very easy shots on net, i dont think thats right, stajus agree me.

Gameplay : Drop Shot harder to do when moving

That is ok, but this also affected drop shots that from positions close to the net as a response on previous opponent's drop shot. I noticed that this goes out as huge missed slice shot. It was very relistic shot from my point of view in situations when opponent attack's with drop shot but stays on own base line waiting to see if his opponent with be able to catch that drop shot, and doesn't paying attention to covering the court. I agree that this change can be good to avoid hitting unrealistic kind of drop shot from running positions or from return etc. Maybe optimal solution would be for that shot to apply that handycap on drop shots (running drop shots) attempted from positions far from the net while those drop shots performed from position close to the net can remain same as before update..

Woh, many replies and almost all of them are actually about the last version..!

I known this version would make it hard for a lot of people, as they are a few quite noticeable changes ; some past updates shown it was already hard enough when there's no change at all... ':D

The Kicked Serve with B1+B2 & B1 is too short. I tuned just checking the B2 length, forgetting it was a special case compared to the other buttons...

Tennischampion, u shouldn't be able to get Nadal style anymore...

Algo, remove your custom "Scripts/GameSys.ini" .

Srle, "Percentage of B1+B2 & B1 serves in slightly lowered" => before, with 70% power & 100% consistency, it was around 82% of serves in, now it's around 79%.
About Drop Shot, I'll think about lower the handicap from the forward running speed (but not completely remove it).

S.Williamz, I tested on LAN & Online, and the game wasn't in slow motion. Could you check what is the Delay (by pressing F4 & looking down right) when the game runs slowly ? Maybe most of the hosts didn't wait enough to have the AutoDelay set correctly... :fear:

Brecht, set the controls of Player 2 to control him.
About Kicked Serve, I did a few tries, & it was ok. Could u tell me your serves %, ur height, and the button(s) u use ?

tati cornet,
- serve precision didn't change
- slice serve left/right aiming changed a tiny bit (a few centimeters)
- smash didn't change, except for the positioning, so actually, it should help to do better smashes
- the 2 main changes I did that may be fitting S.Williamz requests have been done for other reasons ; for the inertia, it's explained there : topic5-3113.php#p40616 ; for the Serve/Volley, actually, I changed the speed coz it was looking very bad with the new serve, so I reduced it to get a smooth result, then only I thought it was actually meeting the request from S.Williamz & other couple of people :)
- there was no new version during last AO

Stajus, I did a try in doubles (volley vs volley fights). I'm not very sure what to conclude. It's sure it's more random than before, but mainly on quick reaction volleys especially off-centered from the racket, so it feels realistic enough. If you don't stand too close from the net, it becomes much easier to control your volleys.
 Other people are welcome to give their opinion about this..:?:

Brad1981, the short strike is quite useful for passing shots when the short acceleration would be too risky ; it's also useful to open the court a bit

Thanks for answering to everybody Manutoo,

But I don't really understand why S.Williamz is getting this slowmotion, I only get this slowmotion when my opponent or I use the Roddick's Service.

Hi Manu

Time for me to weigh in on this build...

First of all...I like it a lot, with no real problems experienced when playing against the CPU...don't know about online play...
I especially like what you've done with the backhand slice...as a matter of fact I had been thinking of mentioning some of the very things that you ended up tuning...

Volleying seems to be OK for me...
Smashes seem easier to time..

I really like the Roddick serve and forehand...one thing, though...Roddick slides his right foot forward more, about equal to his left foot when he finally pushes off for the serve. It's called the "pinpoint stance"... check it out...

As I've mentioned before, IMO you're constantly improving the sprite's techniques so much so that one could actually learn a hellova lot about real tennis strokes just by studying their movements...

One more thing...in the future it might be cool if there were a couple of backhand slice movements to choose from (for those who liked the "old" slice and just for variety...

Well I tried one match that had 80-90 ping, it did seem normal. But yesterday all matches I played were in slow motion, very noticiable. Great if it's not a problem anymore.
