Hi there! I know this is a long shot, but I haven't managed to find any info at all on the net regarding this issue, so I hope I can get some support here.
I'm trying to revisit the old Tennis Elbow (Sport Tennis, specifically, which is just the original game with a different title screen, as given away long ago by the Spanish newspaper Sport), but I've had no luck so far, either on my regular Windows 8 PC, an older one using Windows XP or even a virtual machine using Windows 98. I've managed to execute the game, and the menus basically work, but as soon as I try to actually step into the court, it just skips the match and shows the results screen. It looks like the main application works on Windows, but the actual match engine runs in DOS (which prevents the option of just running the whole thing in DOSBox, like I've managed to do with some other old games).
So what could be preventing the main app from transitioning properly to the DOS-based match engine? Would there be any kind of fix for this? Some specific setting for Windows' compatibility mode, perhaps? Some specific settings for however many executable files are involved in the game? Some kind of patch? Something else entirely?
