Hello Manu,
Thank you for reading these posts and for creating an amazing tennis game. I have really enjoyed TE2013 very much

. I know that TE4 will have a new game engine similar to TEM2. I have tried TEM2 and noticed that have done a wonderful job of making this even a more realistic simulation of tennis. However I do like Tennis Elbow 2013 game engine and AI. I was wondering if you can make a version of TE4 with the same AI and game engine as TE2013 or have an option to toggle this within the game?

cnjpug,
no, it's not possible.
If you have specifics requests to change the gameplay, post them in the suggestion thread.
eg: I'm planning to add an option to move a bit faster, to get a feel a bit closer to TE2013 movement.

Hi,
First, I wanted to say that I am an avid player and huge fan of Tennis Elbow 2013. It has the best gameplay for any tennis game since Top Spin 4 (In my opinion).
Second, I have TEM2 installed, and the new graphics look awesome (cant wait for modders to get hands on it). But, the gameplay worries me a bit in the player movement department. Changing directions regardless of ratings feels sluggish in comparison to Elbow 2013. Not just changing directions, lateral movement in general. Also, more "skating" exists, the planting isnt as good as Elbow 2013. Often times your player skates into shots that he never would have in your prior game.
I know it's still early and you are working on the game in your free time, so I figured it would be a good time to post about the player movement issues. I like the new ball physics, love the new graphics/lighting, crowd detail, etc. But nothing is more important than player movement and reactiveness in a sports game.
Thank you for all you do, we have had endless hours of fun with Elbow 2013!

Dee4three84,
1) Run acceleration/deceleration will have an optional boost to get a feeling closer of TE2013
2) If you see some serious skating near the start of a match, send me a Bug Report (HowTo =>
topic5-31732.php )
The animation system changed a lot, and it may have some glitches.

I just registered to congrats and say thanks to you for the masterpiece that TE3 is. I been waiting for the TE4 for a long time, so excited. I want to ask you about the camera angles that we'll be able to play, I always plays with the camera at very low point, just behind the player and im afraid that if this is not possible in the TE4 probably I will keep playing TE3 because is a never ending game, playing in Elite level already, thats how in love i'm with it. Thanks again and apologize for my english, i hope you understand me

Nicehat,
the camera system in TE4 is the same as in TE2013, with the range on aperture slightly bigger so it offers a bit more choice.

Hi manu!
Great progress in the game, I'm really looking forward to it.
I do have a few questions about what you posted yesterday regarding the animations (that will be included in the game).
1) Is there any legal problems that the game could have with that? I know that you can't have any brand, tournament nor player officially , but I do wonder about animations
2) Is there a limit on the amount of animations that could be imported into the game?
3) My guess is that this will simplify modders work, since they won't have to worry about animis. But, What would happen to a Mod if you release a new version of the game with new anims? Will the modder need to update the entire Mod? Or it would be seamless?
Thanks!

Just purchased TE4 but missed my chance of getting TEM2 as an add-on. Anyway I'd be able to purchase TEM2 at the same price I'd have paid if I remembered to use the add-on?

franco_m_,
1) The animations are creation, so it's really a different matter than player & brand names, so I think it should be ok ; however, I might change their name (eg: we'll probably have "Fidirir Backhand" and "Nodol Forehand"

), just to be sure to avoid any issue
2) No
3) Anims will be referenced by name instead of number, so it won't have any problem when adding new ones
Spacedeck,
you have the discount link for TEM2 in your TE4 License Key email.

then can we change the name of them using
modding?

Hi @manutoo:
Hi, I have tennis elbow in steam and I wanted to buy tennis elbow 4 but I have some doubts:
-Why do you need to know our address to buy the game ???
-Is it not possible to pay with prepaid methods such as paysafecard?
-If we buy it on your website will you give us a password for steam ???

yiph2,
likely yes.
xxx,
1) You'll receive your License Key email to your email address
2) BMT Micro (the alternate way to buy) supports Paysafecard (but maybe not in all countries ?)
3) Once the game is available on Steam, you'll get a free Steam key
