I know that maybe it's a little bit early, but I would like to ask how is TE4 online mode being structured.
In particular, online lobbies were the right thing to do with TE, and they obv will have to make their way back in TE4 (the delay adjustment system also works well, you're able to play with some adjustments with almost everyone around the world).
Since the game will probably be ported to consoles and will be the No.1 tennis game on consoles since its competitors aren't even tennis games, I guess it would be a good idea to begin thinking about something more of the simple online lobbies.
Why not trying to include also online ranked matches with automatic matchmaking in some ways? In a balanced game like TE "climbing the ladder" would be fun for the most, would feel rewarding and would give the game some more depth.
TE2013 elo system represented a great way not only knowing who you are against, but was also making the game competitive (in the most simple of the cases, an high elo joins the game and I want to beat him cause it would be an achievement), so using that system within automatic ranked matchmaking would be the natural evolution of elo.
Then for the casuals would be fun to have some kind of "friendly match" that doesn't touch elo points.
Thanks for your time and your attention manutoo, cheers
