Are SlamTrack Stats reliable? (eg: Djokovic vs Nadal @Wim18)

Postby manutoo » 03 Aug 2018, 11:56

Hello,

I'm currently getting some feelings about the CPU vs CPU matches with the new physics rules by testing on the different surfaces ; and on grass, I didn't get many winners, so I went to check the rally stats for Djokovic vs Nadal at Wimbledon 2018 : http://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/scores/stats/1602.html
Click Full Stats then Rally stats to see this :

They give only 2 winners for Djoko and none for Nadal..!

So I rewatched the highlights here :

And we can see 2 FH winners & 1 smash winner for Nadal, and 1 passing winner for Djoko.
So it seems these stats are completely broken.

Would anyone know what's going on with these Slamtrack stats ? A Google search didn't bring up anything...

I'd really like to get my hands on winners vs forced errors vs unforced errors ; it'd be quite useful to tune the game...

I agree that this "Rally Stat" tab doesn't make much sense.
The "Overall Stat" tab shows 73/42 Winner/Error ration for both players

This website doesn't have the match you are currently using, but it has a large database of matches charted from the last 10 or 15 years.

type44,
I'm looking specifically for Winners vs Forced Errors because most of the times the 2 are put together into the "winners" row, thus it's not possible to know how many clear winners a player did ; and I'd like to get an idea if the TE engine produces enough clear winners or not. :fear:

If you go to a match stats page on that site and click on "Point outcomes by rally length" it breaks down winners vs. forced errors vs. unforced errors.

type44,
thanks, I hadn't seen these ! :blackeye:

It's a bit hard to decipher because the winners aren't consistent between the different tabs (I guess coz of aces and possibly how they count the Forced Errors), but by checking the other tabs, I can do the subtractions and get more or less what I want... :)
