World Tour : problem with View CPU vs CPU matches

Postby CC » 27 Dec 2009, 18:23

I started a new World Tour, and I made it through the qualifier and then entered the main draw. Up to this point, every time that I would click "Next Match," the game did as I expected and started a match between me and my opponent. When the main draw was entered, I selected next match, but the game showed me a match between Nadal and Lopez, and I didn't want to see this. I wanted to play my next match. I didn't know what to do, so I "retired" from that match while Nadal was serving. The game said that Lopez won the match. Now, I can't find that match in the draw, and I don't know how to go back to playing my matches. This is confusing. What am I doing wrongly?

Thanks

OK. I went back into the World Tour and viewed all matches. I found a Singles Draw - Doha where Nadal apparently won against Lopez 6-4 6-3 even though I had quit the viewing of the match (or whatever you call this). Also, as I was going through the tournaments trying to find this activity, I noticed that at least one match of each tournament was toggled to be viewed. Is there a topic that explains the concept of this? I don't want to see these matches right now. I only want to play my own matches.

Thanks

Another point about this is that when starting a match that doesn't include my player, at the bottom the text indicated the record between each player and me rather than between the two who are playing. For instance, even though I wanted to play my match, a match briefing between Albert Montanes and Philipp Kohlschreiber appeared, and their record against each other was not displayed at the bottom-right, but there record against me was displayed instead.

I went through all of the weekly tournaments and toggled the matches hoping that they would not be viewable. However, the game continues to display these matches, and I just want to play my own. Also, it is frustrating that the Match Briefing / Match Opponent screens don't display what tournament the match is in. I have to try to find the match where these players are competing so that I can try to turn off whatever is making the game let me view their matches.

A minor issue is that after I had played a match in World Tour the screen that displayed after the message that I had reached the semi-finals and showing the draw sheet and results had a button in the bottom-right corner with the hover text of Play Match when actually I had just played the match and clicking the button would return me to the Year 2009, week 1 screen (although it should have been 2010 I think as I started the Tour in week 52 of 2009 (not sure how I am now at week 1 of 2009). I think that this button should have hover text of Back.

If you think that this is a bug, maybe this should be moved to the bug section. It turns out that I guess my World Tour is at week 52 of 2009, but other parts of the screen say that it is week 1 of 2009. For instance, the main screen shows like this:

whereas the activity screen shows like this:
