I'm using the Maxou 2016 and for some reason, the rankings are only counting 17 of my events, but still counts 18 for everyone else. I also tried to edit to say 19 events and still only took my best 18 while it counted 19 for everyone else.

Hello,

did you miss 1 or 2 mandatory tournaments ? You're allowed to miss 1 master series event, but if you miss 1 more, or if you miss a Grand Slam, you'll get 0 point for it and it'll count in your tournament limit.

I played all of them. Oddly enough, I played some more and I have all 18 counted now. Originally I only had 3 500s counted instead of 4 The ones I have counted:
4 Slams
8 Masters
Olympic Games (which I think has the same mandatory level as the slams in the Maxou patch)
Acapulco 500 (45pts)
Barcelona 500 (45pts)
DC 500 (180pts)
Tokyo 500 (45pts)
Delray Beach 250 (250pts)

It looks like Olympics takes away one of the 250 spots, which my next best is 150 points from Brisbane.

Is there any way to edit the game to count the best 6 of all non-mandatory tournies overall like the ATP instead of specifically 4 500s and 2 250s?

No, you cannot change that in the .ini's. I hadn't noticed that additional change in the ATP rules ; it'll come in TEM2/TE4...
