No longer seeing option to make CPU player stronger

Postby CC » 11 Dec 2009, 22:06

Until a few months ago, I had the option to make the CPU player stronger when I had crushed her. What happened to this option? I would like to have it again, if possible. Perhaps there is an edit to make for this.

Thanks!

Hello,

I checked & still got the message.
You need to beat the CPU from 6/0 to 6/2 in master or lower difficulty to get this message.

ManuTOO,

I have beaten the CPU player 6-1 and 6-2 at this level, and the option didn't display. So, what can make it not work? Is there a setting that I can use to enable it again?

Thanks.

Humm, quite strange, normally nothing could stop it to work... (this feature doesn't happpen in World Tour, though)
Anyway, u can change the CPU level in the character sheet at any time...

ManuTOO,

Sometimes I seem to imagine problems (seem so real, but my memory is inaccurate). I'll try hard to beat the CPU again 6-2 or better and post back about whether or not the prompt appeared. Thanks for the tip about changing the level manually. I like the other option, as it gives the choice of I think a bit stronger and ... I forget what the other is. I would usually select to make the CPU just a bit stronger. If I want to do that manually (to mirror the change made through the selection when the option appears as it should), what exactly would I change (and how much) to make the CPU player just a bit stronger?

CC...If you go to the "character sheet" in the game, select the CPU player, you will see "level" and "sub-level"...
On "level" you can change the CPU player from "beginner" all the way up to "incredible" and on "sub-level" you can change the difficulty from increments of "1" up to "10" or however you please to get the desired gameplay...

The 3 difficulty increments are : 1 Level, 5 SubLevels, 2 SubLevels .

ManuTOO, I think that this is may be a bug. I can confirm that the option to make the CPU player stronger does not appear, having beaten the CPU 6-2, 6-1, and also 6-0. Attached is the 6-0 match (one great match, by the way :) :)  ):

What I notice at the end of this match is that the CPU player changes her tactic; she hits a drop shot and starts coming to the net. This happens often when I am winning, and I love it. It is like this is a tennis match with a real player.
