Hi,

I know how to hit a short ball, and a short acceleration ball. However, the A.I. hits a very very short balls that bounce twice before I can reach it making it impossible for me to respond to it thus giving the A.I. a point and an advantage over me.

Imagine a drop shot, but very fast one with very low to non-existent bounce height off the ground.

So as you can see, it is an "Impossible" shot to respond to.

it's actually a badly hit slice. You can do same with luck and preparing your slice very late.
Alternately, you can do a real short slice, which is a bit different, by reading the special strike combos at end of the documentation on your HD.
