This problem has been augmented by the new update's shanks when you only catch a piece of the ball. I think those shanks and whenever you hit a shot too early because it's too deep should be counted as forced errors instead of unforced errors.

The thing is though that the current stats have errors as a whole, not unforced and forced. So in that regard count all of them.

But what I bought up in the other thread was that one that catches the edge of the racket is not an error from the player at all. It should not count because it is not a shot error, just the player couldn't reach the ball to produce a shot and only just connects with the ball.

And that's why it should count as a forced error.

That's true, but I'd like to see it split up into unforced errors and forced errors like it is in real life. (Forced errors aren't usually shown on the stat sheet)
