Firstly - congrats on the Steam release. Just saw it today and noticed the TE4 planning when I popped on here.
My idea is basically an "advanced" control scheme, that's completely optional and would need to be enabled in the settings menu or something, where the right analog stick can be used to aim rather than the left switching to aim after a stroke button has been held down. The general reasoning behind this is so the left can still be used to move after a stroke button has been held. The character would still move as slowly as they do now when a stroke button is held (so it's not like you can start aiming while still getting to the ball) but this will allow for the avatar to (for example) move to the left so the positioning/lineup with the ball is better while still aiming right. Think of it as the equivalent of footwork.
The way the radical works would be the same as now and the buttons used for the strokes would probably need to switch to the triggers/shoulders.
Thoughts?
Let me know if I haven't been clear enough, not sure if I've done a particularly good job explaining myself.
