Tennis Elbow 2013 on Steam : Beta Test

General discussions about the 3rd edition of Tennis Elbow

I just switched my screenshot button to something else anyways. :P
"F12" on my laptop turns my wi-fi connection on and off, so it never worked for me in ANY Steam game. Steam lets you change that function really easily, but I know most users are used to the default setting, so that's a good update.

I think i've read somewhere mentionned some option to join games via Steam friendlist, well it was just a question asking i we would like to see such feature i think.
Anyway it's in my opinion not essential even if it could be nice in the future.

But another one i think may be interesting, would be some ingame button, to add/send a steam friend invite to your current opponent (if he's using the steam version). i don't know if it's easily feasible for you, but that could be a pretty nice and straighdforward feature. I just faced this situation with a steam user, who was wondering about it. "where is the option to add you" ? :) So we just shared our steam nicks in chat, but sometimes there is like xxxxxx people having a close nick on steam so thats not always reliable this way.
So i think that would be a small but good first step toward steam 'integration', if you planned some.

join game actually is possible from the Steam friendlist, u open the chat with your friend, then select the menu in it, and you have there, invite to play or invite to watch your game, or you can join his game.

if manu can create a ingame add button for friends, would be the ultimate feature, no game i've played so far had that option.
But you should know, that you can add those guys actually, from your profile, go to friends, then you can check in 'recently played with'
you had there everyone who you played last times, and you can add them from there

Elias,
I think I saw some stuff about that in the Steam API documentation ; it might be not too hard to tell Steam the opponent ID so the user could add him from the overlay interface. I'll check that in detail for next big update (around June, hopefully).

Yep that's right Meg, that's how i usually do when playing another game indeed, i forgot about it. Not even sure Steam API features somehting
for adding this to an ingame interface, maybe not as there is the overlay with this function for it.

ah, we cross-posted :)

Nice then, but well like Meg said there is an easy turn-around for it. Even Payday wich is a mainstream game doesn't feature this so.. but still that would be nice for
integration. Like also seeing your steam friends highlighted in a different color in TE lobby when they are present (though that would break TE 'anonimity" for established
contacts).

Hi Manu

Your first post made me really confused . I already bought TE and Im trying to activate on steam, but how?
In order to activate it on steam I need a Product Code. I followed your steps but I all got was an email with my original key and my customer ID. But these things arent gonna help me activate the game on steam. All I need is a product code,so how do I get it?

To get your Steam Key, you have to sign in through Steam 1st, and then enter your Customer ID, and your email if it changed since you ordered the game.
If you lost your Customer ID, only enter your email address (if it didn't change since you ordered the game) to receive your License Key email with your Customer ID in it.
Once done correctly, the Steam Key will be written in middle of your License Key email. You can then enter it in Steam.

I've logged in, but there's no Steam key in the email I received... (and let's say it was, would that key activate TE on steam? because the only way you're gonna activate a game on steam is by introducing a PRODUCT CODE )

Im not sure if anyone here got his game activated on steam since they had no product code.. :blackeye:

Some players we cannot take pictures in tennis elbow in steam.

We cannot access the menu of steam during the game and that is why we cannot access the chat

I found the Product code ! What i did wrong was I requested an email with the cd-key before I logged into steam, and because of that, there was no cd-key on the email.
The second time,I logged into steam and I requested another email and there was my CD-KEY.
I still believe Manu's instructions are not clear enough, though.
Thank you for your help.

By the way, can the game still be moded if I have the steam version?
