There's a big jump from 49% to 50% where it gets unrealistic. Also, it might just be me, but the CPU seems to be able to hit with much more topspin. Against humans, and the 100 Rafa clones online, it's not nearly as bad.

So Manu, because of the way the ITF CPRs apply to the TE courts, are you planning on further tweaking the courts' paces?

Leena, the topspin balls are less annoying since the Build 30, no ?

Togtdyalttai, I'm done changing the courts' physics till I have more info; ie: actual measured elasticity of the courts, possibly with the friction as well to double check...

It's not as bad as before. At least you can cleanly hit the ball about midway between the baseline and backstop, but it's still too much.

I've played around in the PAK file, and just raising the friction on clay from .56 to .58 has made a big difference. The negative is that it doesn't bounce much higher than rebound ace.

I think the best option would be to put what 50% topspin is now, and make that 100%. Or, at least lower the topspin effect for the CPU. If you're able to do that. :)

I disagree with this, unless of course it is possible to change only the CPU's topspin. 100% topspin is not very effective in online games anymore, and it shouldn't be lowered any further. What effect there still is of topspin should stay as is.

I look at the other way for online play. I've played a few Nadal clones with 100% topspin online, and they're at such a disadvantage since they're so weak and basically can't hit a winner. If we lower the effect, they'll be on more even ground. Whereas if Manu makes topspin stronger, than we can run into the same problem we currently have with the CPU moonballing us to death.

It's tough for Manu to find a middle ground with this.

I agree 100% with Leena about the topspin. If it could be modifyed just for the CPU player, it would be good. I get moonballed quite a bit from the CPU when he has a high topspin value. And I second that somewhere from 50-60% should be the new 100% for CPU, if it's possible to do so.

But only do this effect for the CPU, or don't do it at all.

I'm pretty happy with the topspin for male players, especially since the latest Build... (which shortens a bit more the heavily topspin strike when far from the baseline).

But for next build, following Leena's advice, I'll lower the female topspin in the World Tour only. Not by 50% like proposed, but by 12% (the perceived difference may be a bit different :) )

coz u can also play just for the pleasure of the game..? ;)
The pleasure to try to play a good & nice tennis...
But in a tournament, personally, if I need to do moon balling and/or short slicing for 3 hours to win a match, then I'll do it without hesitation & without an once of shame (although I won't be too much proud either... )
