New player's presentation & Italian Translation

Postby swissmade » 19 Feb 2009, 00:09

Hello world! I know this game from big time and this last version is really good. I think that in the next days i will buy the full version because it seem a worthwhile experience :)

I wanna try to give a little, and obviusly free, help about my language. I live between Italy and Switzerland and i noticed some errors in ortography and in the italian tennis slang traduction. If you have a file or something like a file with all italian strings (or from english, it's the same) in the game, about menus, stats etc. i could correct all mistakes. There aren't so sensationals errors, stay quiet :P but i'm a perfection fan...

Anyway, a greeting to all the community members.

I sent to managames address the italian lang file. I done a couple of corrections, but i can't found once: the "serving to stay in the match" string because the italian translation it isn't written. Anyway, the right translation is "serve per rimanere nel match". Changing this string is important 'cause i already mod the "serving for the match" string too, so if you leave it like before, it is not so coherent.

...i use this thread to make some questions about the game. First, which are the optimal parameters to set to play decent online games? I tried several matches but all the times the game was veeery poor. And last, can i remove this useless (for me) colored areas that appears on every shot, mine or of the other human player, when a shot is destinated out of court? That thing erase all the "suspence" to check if the shot is on the line or it is out, because i know it a millisecond after i hit, and that's so bad. Tnx for support. swissmade

Hello,

ok, got your corrections for the Italian translation, thanks. I updated "serving to stay in the match" text as well.

To turn off error info, open this file : "C:\Program Files\Tennis Elbow 2009\Tennis.ini"
look for this line, under [Game] :
ShowErrors = 1
and change it to :
ShowErrors = 0

About the skills setup for online play, post a new topic in the "Online Tennis Games" sub-forum, coz I can't help u much about it...

Some italian strings corrected:

Serve per rimanere nel Partita ---> Serve per rimanere nel match

Winner speed ---> Velocità del vincente

Palla fuori dalle corde = Unsafe ---> Palla fuori dalle corde = Rischioso

Palla dentro le corde = Safe ---> Palla nelle corde = SIcuro

adner, Polish translation is done at 98%, I'm waiting for someone for some additional sentences within a few weeks, and if he doesn't translate everything, I'll give u the last few sentences to translate, ok ..?
