wilddog79,
for Hawkeye, you can do it in TE2013 with the 3D court + replay + ball camera + slow motion... ;)

For current development stuff, check here : topic11-27585.php .

I think the right question is "Do you have an estimated release date of Tennis Elbow 4?

What happen is that they must take the time they need to finish this great patch that i know will be.

Constitución,
hopefully, we'll have a 1.0 version within 2 years, and a decent Alpha version within 1 year, and a pre-Alpha by December or January. But no promise... :fear:

Hi, manu! I've just seen some gameplay from two concurrent games and they're astonishingly bad. They were developed by teams formed by many people and quite a large amount of money was and is still being spent. However one thing I enjoyed from the aforementioned games is that they tried to include motion capture to provide more realistic motion (eventually failing) and you know that it requires money, time, and work. Motion and graphics is maybe the weak spot of TE2013.

I'd like to ask you if there's any particular reason behind your decision to work alone on TE4.

I'd also be curious to know if you received any offer from any company to support the game. I love TE2013, but I'm sure that TE4 would benefit from some investors or a bigger team, considering that in two years the tennis video game market could get much more competitive.

Have a nice day! :jap:

sccriabin,
your question deserved a detailed answer in a mini-blog post (mostly coz it was a good occasion to write down a few things that were in my mind since a while :) )

Thank you so much for the clear reply! :applause: Anything about the use of motion capture in tennis videogames?

sccriabin,
I don't have too much to say about motion capture. As you said, for the strikes, the results in tennis games aren't that impressive. For the leg animations, although, it might be better and for TE4 I'll see what I can do on this point... :)

I don't agree on the fact you can't rely on investors Manu. A company such as Rockstar Games usually make their games within a 5-7 years timeframe. They report to investors... You could find patient investors like them.

AntiManutoo,
that's a good idea ! I just have to create a couple of games earning several dozens millions of dollars 1st, and we'll be all set ! ':D

If I really need money, asking my bank would be more fast & easy, and before that, I'd ask people to pre-order TE4 to help me fund it.

But right now, money is (still) not an issue. However, time is... :fear:
