Right.

serving :x service and returning. A 155cm woman could never hit 120mph regularly. Women of 5'11 + generally struggle to serve those speeds with such regularity.

A kicking serve to a single handed backhand get up and cause trouble for single handers. Now, the smallest you can be is 155cm, and im pretty sure that if a kicking serve is trouble for a 185cm man it is likely to be trouble for a 155cm woman, and should not be able to hit 93 mph returns off of it!

something to think about :x

Fine, I guess I am forced to be a woman. Which I think is ridiculous, but whatever. I mean, there are so many other things that are a bit unrealistic in this game(like women play as well as men, etc etc.), I dont understand why we can't have one more slighty unrealistic thing here, I think it would be better than not being able to choose the sex at low heights...It really doesn't make sense to nitpick about realism here.

S.Williamz,
I wonder why you want to be such a TINY man? Does it give you some advantage in footspeed/coverage or something?

Hey Manu,

Me again...with some more suggestions...
I was noticing, in a match with the CPU, that when I hit a dropshot and the CPU ran forward to get it, he used "steps" to run to the ball, however, when my player got to the CPU's reply and hit a shot down the line, the CPU "shuffled" quickly back to the baseline and got to the ball...(my little nephew watched me playing the game and "cracked-up" when he saw that, saying that it looked a little "silly")... .:P (please don't be offended)

I remember that you once said that it'd be too hard to have the anims "turn and run" back to the baseline...however, I was wondering if it would be too difficult to have the anims just take quick "backward steps" instead of "shuffling" backwards ridiculously fast...much like they take steps to "run" forward? I feel that that would at least "look" a little more realistic than it does now...

Maybe this could be implemented much like when the "human" player either "shuffles" sideways or actually "runs" along the baseline if he needs to cover a lot of ground to get to a ball...

Also, you know how the "human" anim automatically '"smashes" instead of "high volleys" a very weak lob attempt?
Maybe an anim could be created to automatically do a "backhand smash" when "short-lobbed" to the backhand side...(thought I had forgotten about this, didn'tcha) 8-) Not so much for deep lobs, but for those times when the opponent hits a shot that is "between" a high volley and a short or miss-hit lob attempt. I take it that there isn't a control in the game now for the "short-smash" that happens when the "human" player is running to the net and has to smash...(this shot seems to happen by itself, rather than me "purposely" trying to hit it)

Well I can't say I'm sure(I've been wrong so many times about this game I'm not sure about anything anymore LOL), but I have tested a lot of heights and went back and forth and it seems the really tinyest heights possible are also the best possible(it gives you some speed bonus I believe and it seems to be easier to change directions quick, which are really important when the level of play is high). And, since a lot of my playing partners are really good and really short lol, I have to be short to really keep up with them the way I want to. So I'm sort of forced to be really short and therefore a woman, even though I'd prefer to be a man. I guess it's a minor thing, but I'd still like it changed.

Well, since from what I read in the forums, you seem to be one of the very best players...so, maybe you are indeed onto something  But, something to think about...if Manu tunes the kick serve (like he said he will) to kick even higher I wonder if it would create problems for you on the service return, since so much is predicated on striking the ball in the center of the strings in order to prevent miss-hits...
I don't know for sure if it will make THAT much difference, but sometimes when I mis-time my return off of a powerful 1st serve, I wind up hitting long or into the net...
But, all things being equal, maybe the advantage in movement will offset the possible difficulty with the return. 8-)

Here are some suggestions:

1)On the serve when it hits the net the umpire to call "let".
2)In Davis Cup the crowd cheering to change to favour the home team.
3) " " " the scoreboard to show the country names not the players names.

I think it would be good to have a third set tiebreak in doubles matches that aren't in grandslams. that would get me more motivated to play doubles as well, since the matches won't last as long.

Total support to this feature. The world tour in singles competition is hard and take a lot of time, especially when you start from lowest rank, so a super tie break in every tour (or an option to set it, example, number of set choices like this: - 1set - 3set - 3set w/supertb or a dedicated button to activate/deactivate the last set supertb) sound good :)

And i fully subscribe the last build, faster normal shots and kick serves are really good addictions.

I agree about the tiebreak. A while back, I mentioned about having an adjustable tiebreak scale, so the user could set the number of points needed to win a tiebreak, for instance, from a minimum of 7 points (as it is now), to maybe a maximum of 30. Sometimes when in exhibition mode, I just want to play up to a certain score (rather than a complete match). And having something like, I see from above posts, would also be useful to those who want a super tiebreak. Maybe it could be implemented by having it in the "misc options" right below "games per set".

Also with the umpires, how about an umpire for the baseline who can stick out his arm when the ball is long?

And when you serve and the ball hits the net and stays on your side of the court it is not necessary for the umpire to call out.

Yes i'm forced to play without audio during matches, after a couple of matches it become really untolerable, i hear more fault calls than shots

I would love the see the slice-to-acceleration shot removed. I suggested this a while back but can't remember what the answer was. lol It's not realistic in any way and it annoyes me to no end when people use it in online matches because it's an extremely effective shot, for the huge surprise factor and also because I think you need less time to press to aim it well?
