Hi manutoo,

just two things:

-Gabashvili isn't a defender, he hit all he can, better if it's ball....pls can you change it?

-Can you pass me the italian language file? i have some little other corrections to do (i did it the first time some months ago if you remember)

Thanks!

The defender style lower handicap for off centered balls is potentially ridiculous in online games. You can just smack the ball with ridiculous angles from the middle of the court almost(as you can take the ball so early) which has nothing to do with realism. It's like a total joke. Imo this bonus should be completely removed.

maybe manu should consider removing that shot u hit with ur body and do something with the defender style i dont think that even nadal is able to return sooooooo many balls back and still make winners out of impossible positions

S.Williamz,
actually, the defender style lower handicap for off centered balls has been replaced long time ago by a lower handicap on length and speed of topspin strikes. I just updated the doc about that.
So all styles lead to the same on off centered ball : shorter & slower ball.

Stajus,
could you be more vague and unspecific ?

Don't worry, Manu, viktor1212 knows what I meant by that (refer to Shanghai singles topic  )
"Shorter & slower ball" without any loopyness (hit crosscourt) = just what the doctor ordered for defender virtuosos 8-)
Anyways, this update seems good, just need to tune that body shot which still is ridiculous for people who learned how to use it well

Yeah, the defender style is still problematic, no matter what was changed. Otherwise I would not complain obviously. I agree with stajus it's the body shots.

I also think there's something not right when a player is left handed...it's much harder to play left handers. This might be because I'm not used to playing left handed players(even though I've played many) and don't play and anticipate the ball right. But left handers should just be a mirror image of right handers, yes? It doesn't feel like a mirror image, it's different, especially the left handed forehand. If it was an exact same then it shouldnt be hard to get used to it. It seems I can hit some sharp angles and take to the ball more aggressively(early) with the acceleration when left handed(I tested with forehand style 4/6, don't know if that could have any effect). All I know this causes major difficulty playing and I feel it shouldn't.

1)First serve power......its low...i think 200-210 for fair mode seems bad...in real tour rafa, soderling, berdych, delpo, and many others hit at 220kmph+ also...not on consistent basis but still it is there and players normally do errors when such serve come into play..i hardly see people doing errors in this game.ridiculous and unrealistic.some stupids play each and every shot back into court even when i play very tough and strong shots..very annoying and i hardly see any unforced errors...just stupid stuff.i really cannot feel the reality in it and
2) i see one huge stupid stat arrangement from the moderator.i keep net and volley 100 all and then i do many errors than when i keep net 100 and volley 0 (=50% total volley skill)...the difference i see is power but how can a 100% volleyer do more errors than 50%(100 net presence and 0 volley) volleyer...think on it...i think the stats arrangement is looking pointless...and
3)ofcourse huge second serves are just stupid.i see many do them almost 3/4 times in... :annoyed: how is that realistic.i hardly cud step into court even on second serves.ridiculous shit  and
4)no. of errors that take place in a set are just too small.sometimes 0 lol...i see everyone play like nadal without errors even though they dont play with topspin.ridiculous.0 topsin players shud do many errors compared 100 topspin guys :x overall i say the game is far unrealistic...however i appreciate moderators work to implement it,but he shud better know the reality in it

Please make the option to have no side swap on changeover. This includes camera. The way it used to be. With the way it is now, either a) my player goes to the further end, or b) my player stays on the same end, but the camera lighting effect is changed. Please make an option so that BOTH of these don't happen, the way it used to be 5-10 builds ago.

i dont know how effective this would be if you added it but, since the crosscourt slice is completly useless and its just giving free points to the opponent so why not try to add backspin instead of side spin to the shot, its such a shame to see a fine shot like that go to waste

I think you have made a pretty good game here. I think it does look and feels like one is playing a real tennis match.

The BIG problem is, I think, the fact that there are so little ERRORS.

That is the worse thing I see in every tennis game that I see, and I never understood why.

I you watch ANY professional tennis game, you will see a lot of balls hitting the net and going out long and wide. It's natural. I don't think a game is more fun because it has less errors. It's the opposite. Forced and unforced errors make any tennis game more REAL, and that's exactly what makes it attractive.

I have been playing tennis games for years now and I still haven't found a game that deals with that. I think you have a great chance to make that big step forward, because, as I said, the game has a great platform.

Another thing. I would DEFINITELY remove auto-shot. That doesn't help at all and it doesn't make any sense to see a player trying to hit a ball he is five meters away from. A winner looks creepy that way.

Lately, I've been playing DMTP (for the last 3 or 4 years) but now I had to leave it because its creators ruined it for us.

Congratulations again for the way you improved this game, but believe me, you can make it so much better.
