Good update. 2 things: The CPU seems to have extra oomph to their topspin shots on surfaces like NewLine Synthetic and Clay, and a little bit on Blue-Green Cement. It only has to do with CPU topspin shot. It seems a bit too loopy on some occasions. I have topspin settings set to about 30 percent. But I am just referring to the topspin-specific shot. Also, when I try to edit the CPU balldiffscale and precisionscale, I can't get the setting to "stay". (I like to do this to make CPU even that much harder). It always reverts back to 1 and 1. It didn't do this in previous builds, where the setting stayed where I set it at. Just wondering if this is a bug.

Manu, I found a mistake in credits. It says: "... (build 24 - 2008.12.19)" and it should be "...(build 24 - 2008.12.29)".

Hi Manu. Sorry for my English. I'm not a native speaker. Right, here's my problem with this new version, something that did'nt happen to me before.
- Results in the "Last Week news" section are not properl shown. Instead of the name of the tournament, players and final score, the number "76" is displayed in each field (i.e. in the place that should be the name of the tournament, players, and so on).
- As well, in the players profile sheet, the head-to-head is displayed wih this error (i.e. the number 76).
I reckon it´s quite strange, Do you know what could be happenning? Thanks for your assistance. :D

@Brad1981 & Gest who is Brad or his brother :
I already told u how u can alter the luminosity.

When doing the topspin strike & not hitting with the sweetspot, u put less topspin but a bit more speed in the ball.

balldiffscale & precisionscale never worked for the CPU. It'll work for next update.

@Santiago92 :
It's not exactly a bug... :P
But it's sure it'd be better to show the release date instead of the date I started to work on the Build, I'll try to not forget for next update... :)

@Rams-es :
You're playing in Spanish ?
It's surely a very strange bug. Could u try to re-install the game ? Try to reload a previous automatically saved game ? And if it's still not better, you could send me your "System.log" file, maybe it'll show what's going on...

Re: Topspin. Yea it just seemed like there was some kind of "bonus" to SOME of CPU topspin shots with the latest build. For some reason, when playing on NewLine Synthetic and Clay, this happens more frequently/noticeably. Most of CPU's topspin shots are good, but a few seem to have a super-maximum amount, but it is not set as Defender.

Edit: This happens with CPU global Topspin setting over 30%. (I have it set at 34%). This "bonus" only happens with CPU, not my player.

Re: Luminosity. Is it a global setting? Player in near court is always fine. But when I switch sides, only my player is very dark, and the ball seems to have shadow as it crosses the net coming to my side, hence making it harder to see. Was just curious to see if there is a setting to affect only 1 side of court.

hi manutoo

i was playing the world tour against some guy with about 70 topspin and he was hitting high looping topspin shots which was fine, when suddenly he hits a huge flat winner right into the corner! :? :? i was quite confused and was wondering if someone with so much top spin could hit such a flat shot.

thx

Are you sure he had that much spin? Because if you're a defender, you get the topspin bonus for the topspin shot and can hit with a lot of spin even with less topspin and thus also flatter shots. :D

I dont like being able to choose my opponents skill level. How do you change that. It makes me want to cheat and make them easier opponents.

Hi

I've been playing the demo and I've been watching the video gameplay in the other thread...

Why do I keep listening to a "fault" shout when the ball stays at the net?... in reality, the judges only shout when the ball is out, and not when it's in the net.

Could this be corrected?

Thank you, great game! :D

@Brad1981 :
The Luminosity trick I gave u ( here : viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1671&p=13707&hilit=AmbiantR#p13707 ) affect the ambient light, ie: the light that doesn't come directly from the sun ; try to change it, u'll see it should do what u want...

@R.Gasquet :
Accelerations have a lot less top spin than top spin strikes, especially on the backhand side.

@blueshirt12 :
It's not cheating... Just set the difficulty level that u enjoy playing, it's ok... :)

@Ale :
The "Fault" announce is a little twist from reality that is there to help newcomers to the tennis world to make the difference between the ball falling after the net & before the net... :)

Manu, at the end of each set I still see the announce "Double Fault #0" :(

Another thing:

I think that Federer is easy in this game. I'm playing at Professional sublevel 10. I played Nadal twice on blue-green (lost in Montreal 3-6, 6-4, 6-7 and in Cincinatti 6-7, 3-6) and lost to Del Potro in US Open (7-6, 6-7, 3-6, 4-6) and they were too much harder than Federer, who lost to me 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 in Davis Cup. Maybe it's because I don't like rallying and players who doesn't come to the net often make me desperate and Federer usually comes to the net, but... he should be better...
