Tennis Elbow Windows on Virtual Machine hosted by OSX ?

Postby Lunalone » 09 Jul 2014, 03:27

Dear Elbow Fellows,

i recently tried to install Tennis Elbow 2013 (newest version) into a VirtualBox machine running through an OS X guest system. I managed to start the game, but it crashes as soon as any player models are about to be shown. There is a box coming up telling that graphics initialisation failed and then i'm sent back to desktop. I fiddled with advanced graphics settings and Windows graphics drivers, but no luck so far.

Has anyone succeeded in running the game via any virtual windows platform? I'd love to play online while running OS X.

Cheers Luna

Hello,

I think I read that some people managed to make the game runs with Parallels, but I'm not sure 100% sure...

But all the ones who talked about it on the Forum didn't manage to make the game works with it => search.php?keywords=Parallels .

So you would probably be better to install Windows through Bootcamp.

Yes, you can run the game smoothly via Windows on Mac (I play the same as you)

1. I recommend you download Parallel, it works like VirtualBox but it has better performance and supports more drivers

2. You can search for Paralell on the Internet, there are a bunch of them, you have to pay to get that application but you can also download for free too, if you can't find a link then just tell me I will give you one

3. After you get Parallel, look for Windows Iso (You can buy a window CD or download ISO on the Internet). There are plenty of Windows Iso Files like Windows 7, XP. Depend of your choice

4. Then open Parallel. It will automatically look up for your Windows ISO (Try to look for Parallel tutorial on the Internet)

5. After that it will install the Windows Version which is based from your Windows ISO version (examples you download Win XP ISO then it will install Win XP in your Mac

6. When the installation finishes, you are ready to enjoy 2 different OS in the same laptop. You don't have to turn off then choose between Windows or Mac OS X like the way BootCamp does
