Another great update.
Slice is much better, and I like the slightly added pace to the high shoulder shots. I also saw that the spelling was corrected for the blue-green court backdrop to "Breathe". :wink:
Manu, do you know if the old U.S. Open courts (before blue-green) had a similar pace to blue-green, or was it slower? It would be nice to add this court if it is different. I'm not sure if you have it or not (from Tennis Elbow versions previous to 2006).

I have a problem with the new slice. Before, I was able to hit a half-volley slice and keep it in. Now I am hitting more errors doing this. I'm guessing this problem has something to do with increasing the slice power, otherwise I don't know.

I am still not satisfied with lobs on the run being difficult.9 out of 10 times they go out when im on the run.If you want to avoid lobs in between rallies then just make them attackable because now people are coming to the net more than often because they know that the lob will go out when a player is on the run.
If you want lobs to be hard while on the run then make volleys also more difficult lol.

@Brad1981 :
>> old U.S. Open courts (before blue-green) had a similar pace to blue-green, or was it slower?
I think it was a bit slower, coz when I did the blue-green version, I made it a bit faster, so I guess I decided to follow some report I read in that time (but it's long time ago so I forgot the details :oops: )
So the old US open court = the current grey cement.

@Togtdyalttai :
>> Before, I was able to hit a half-volley slice and keep it in. Now I am hitting more errors doing this
I didn't change anything about that, I guess u just got a bad series...

@R.Gasquet & Algo & gavbo:
>> computer keeps telling me that i need the latest version to play online
Don't forget that u have to close the game before to install the new version.
If even like this, there's problem, it's very likely coz of different paths of installation...

@ahmedcoolio :
>> not satisfied with lobs on the run being difficult
Unfortunately for u, u're the only one to complain about that, while many people complained about the too hard volley... ;)

Well few others have also complained thats why i thought i would post about it.Im just worried that it will become a bit like TE 2006 where volleys played a major role literally in everyones game.Ok ,volleys might not be that easy to execute but why are lobs made so fragile to hit on the run i can never rely on them unless im still while hitting the lob.When i see my opponent coming to the net i would like to hit a lob sometimes when i think i cant hit a good enough passing shot.

Now no one is complaining about lobs in between rallies as they have been made more attackable.I think the problem has pretty much been solved so the lobs on the run should me made how they were before.

I agree with ahmedcoolio to a degree. The lob is kind of ridiculous right now, it's very difficult to hit it in court in situations when you really need it(when the other player is at the net). It goes out almost every time, even if you aren't running too much or really badly positioned. Some tuning is needed, however imo it should remain somewhat hard to hit, but not impossible like right now. Easy to say I know lol.

I find it pretty funny that S.Williamz is the first to agree with Ahmed because he's the only player I feel I need lobs against. Even so, lobs do need to be tuned, because someone with enough points into net skills and good choices as to when to approach like S.Williamz has is very difficult to pass.

About Lobs:
Right now, you can run up to 21km/h when ur lob is at 100% (mixed with FH or BH consistency skill) or 18km/h when it's 0% and keep the lob inside. That's already pretty fast. Ie: u'll miss the lob only if u're at full speed, or near of full speed (for reminder, max speed = 30km/h).
I played several matches against the CPU, and I needed to miss only ~5 lobs to get used of this new constraint...
Maybe I can still tune it a bit, but there are not much room between now & no effect... :?
