I understand that in real tennis, there is a system whereby players are ranked (something like 1 - 5), and players are matched in draws somewhat (so that a 5.0 player doesn't play a 1.0 player, etc.). In the World Tour, I start with a player with low skills, but I don't know what ranking that is. When I play matches, I have the ability to change the level of the CPU player (from Club on up). I did not notice this at first.
When I start a World Tour, is the game ranking me and setting the level of my opponent as it is in real tennis? When I started, the opponents were at Club level, which I didn't notice at first. I just realized that they were too easy to beat. If I were to not change their level, would the game adjust this for me as I improved my skills? What I am asking is, should I be adjusting the level of the CPU player for a realistic matching based on my abilities, or will the game do this for me? Once, I set the level of the CPU player too high, and I did not make it past the qualifier. However, my own skills were limited by the amount of experience that I had at the time, and I couldn't change this, although I had been able to easily give the CPU player a higher level.
