Hi
I bought this game for 12 dollars on a upgrade last year and since then mana games has answered every question i ever had about the game
not only that, but they even put some of my suggestions in the game. It's always being updated for free, manutoo answers everybody questions all the time
Do ever try getting an answered question from 2k, the only the thing they say is " Da! thats the way the game was made Da! ' I love this one the most, "you can't talk to the programmers or developers". If you like playing your game on a flat screen just plug your pc into a flat screen, i do it all the time, it looks amazing

Ending: Anytime you want to come back to earth, i'll open up the landing pad.
Roger out.......

Ok.

This may sound like the dumbest quibble/idea ever, BUT...

In a SNES Game "Jimmy Connors Pro Tennis Tour" (which by the way was the first tennis game I loved SOO much), when Wimbledon came around, they made ALL THE PLAYERS wear white. And, early Agassi notwithstanding, people wear white at Wimbledon!

So. Is it possible to code all players to wear white at Wimbledon? I mean. I make MY players wear all white. But whatever. :)

And it rained during Wimbledon.

And I'd like a different court view for the majors.

But. If you never implement anything I ask for, this is the best tennis game I have ever played. I just turned a few friends onto it and they love it as much as I do.

So.If it's possible. Think about my dumb requests. But if it isn't, then I don't care, I will buy all versions you put out!

sharpmath, I already thought about white Wimbie, but there are 2 problems :
- it'd be actually white & black
- players would look all too similar coz there's not enough other distinguishable traits...

For the people who play higher levels (Pro-Incredible) on World Tour, how do you hit ANY winners vs. defenders/high topspin players?

I'm stuck with Junior being too easy to paint the lines with on any short balls... and Pro leading to insanely long rallies hoping for an error.

I second Brad1981's request about being able to change the CPU's speed in the .ini.

Leena, in the Pro mode, you have to hit a good acceleration that will force your opponent to do a short strike, then step inside the baseline, and hit a 2nd good acceleration to win the point ; even sometimes, u'll have to hit a 3rd, or finish the point at the net.
Also, u can try to put the sublevel on 3 or 5 if the Pro-10 is too hard for u now...

It's the same in the lower sublevels of Pro. Usually when I hit a good acceleration to a corner, the CPU hits a slow, but deep defensive reply that's difficult to attack. Winning isn't the problem vs. opponents rated near me or lower, eventually if I run the CPU enough they'll make an error, but I can only do so many 50-ball rallies before going bananas. :bom:

Also, I usually play as a female. I don't know if there's a lack of power with them.

Just wondering, what's your topspin at? That could be affecting a few things.

Leena,

On what surface are you playing on...clay?

Sometimes I find that if I adjust my opponent's footspeed down a tad it makes it more realistic, since in real life tennis players can have different speed/ coverage abilities also...

I find this to be true when competing on the TE World Tour...the further you progress in the tournament, the better/ faster your opponent's get...

Some have more power, less speed and vice versa...so, I guess its good to practice/play against players with different combinations.. :)

Maybe try playing against puncher or power baseliner if defender gets too ridiculous...

As I don't have any real problems with Pro level 10 if I'm just staying back...it's just having to hit 5,6 volleys to MAYBE win the point that riles me... :?

To me, at least, trying to volley against anything above Pro level 6 or so is extremely unrealistic because of the opponent's ridiculous footspeed...

It'd really be nice to have a way to slow down his side-to-side speed somewhat when you're at the net WITHOUT slowing down his normal rally speed also...

Leena, I did a test with 2 female players in World Tour mode (*) at 75% in all skills, and yup, it's quite harder than with the men to do a clean winner.
I did some tuning, and scaled a bit the power of women so it should be better with next update.

On the other hand, coz of the lack of power, it's much easier to reach the net and do a winning volley...

(*) Note: for people who don't know this, in World Tour, the women have less power than the men; ie: 75% power for a woman equals 50% power for a man.

btaylor, I understand what you are saying, about the side-to-side speed. If a parameter in the .ini could be added to allow to adjust CPU acceleration and maxspeed, this could let us tailor it to our needs. I was able to modify different aspects of the game in the .ini to allow for me, I feel, to have the most realistic experience when playing the game. And this is one of the last big things regarding gameplay I feel that needs some adjusting. I like playing at the higher levels because of the faster pace, and even though I have CPU speed set to 0%, he is still too fast. Please, please, Manu :bounce: :bounce:
