@Everybody :
Version updated :
- I think I located the bug that was making the game hangs in the online part : it was when requesting the server list, while there was no server waiting ; after, if u refreshed again, u couldn't get the answer of any newly creating server anymore ; ;maybe as well as if u were creating a host, it'd hang when exiting it
- Strike speed handicap for regular acceleration has been very slightly lowered
@Brad1981 :
No worry, I'm not tired from getting suggestions, it's very nice for me to have direct contact with final players, that's one of the reasons is some much better to work like this than in a big company..!
But I'm getting tired to always think about work, I have big trouble to let it go and find time to relax. But hopefully, the full version will be up & running in 2 weeks, with some nice sales, and at last I'll be able to relax...
>> taking the ball early
No, I don't think players can hit a full speed acceleration when doing half volleys.
Although, the handicap might be applied a bit too fast, so I just added a little zone where the handicap doesn't apply.
This handicap is also important for the gameplay overall balance.
>> Defender's Top Spin
yes, the Defender has a top spin bonus when doing the top spin strike, and yup, it's already capped to 100 rotations / second (which might be a bit more than the real life record, or the usual very high spin).
It's all wanted, and I posted explanations about this new defender skill a few weeks ago.
@Algo :
>> it was completely out of the chord
It is normal & ok : it's horizontally within the cords, but not vertically. So for the game engine, it considers it's stuck within the sweet spot.
Maybe one day I'll try to do an adaptive animation system that could change the strike to set the height of the racket according to the ball height.
@solarisaint :
If
CC's screenshots correspond to ur idea, then once again, I reiterate : it can be done only with 3D courts, or at least with extended 2D courts, coz right now, I don't have anything to display up & down of this view ; ie: this view would lead to see above the "warm-up" panel, and I don't have this part of the courts.

U can post links to tennis video in the forum, it's ok...
Thanks for it, they could be useful.
I think I had a deep look at the double-handed forehand on one of these sites when I created it.
