Stamina should be raised in the game

Postby n 201 » 30 Jan 2014, 11:12

Well i see my player losing all stamina(top bar) which is rally stamina by just 1 big rally.Seriously, stamina in this game is a joke.Bottom bar also perishes after one set if u play a top spin guy with long rallies. It's really annoying to see my player do errors after only 1set of good tennis. Manutoo, please increase the level of stamina of all styles so that we can play 5set matches. Atleast for 3hrs(simulated match time) a player should have a stamina of 75-100% which is true in real life....and beyond that the stamina should gradually start to fall to 50% by 5hrs and then 30% for more time....and if its like isner mahut match which is 10hrs more or so it should go to 25%. Anyways seeing stamina going down after just 30min is really a joke  so please check this!

Stamina is proportional adjusted to number of sets.

Kind regards,
Heinrich von Westphalen.

Hmmm i can understand this is done for demo players....including me. But its a well known fact that stamina is proportional to time and work....the enjoyment of playing all sets for atleast 3hrs. simulated time with high level stamina is realistic. The stamina what i see in this game does have huge impact in winning! And some players only win because of stamina!

The Overall Energy (OE) depletion rate is not adjusted to the number of sets, but the refill rate under 40% is very fast, thus you'll almost never play with less than 40-50% OE, even after many sets.

Currently, with a low Average Rally Length, you probably can play 10 sets without losing too much OE, if any at all.

Anyway, I might tune a bit the Instant Energy (IE) / OE interaction, so that 50% OE will lead to start the point with 70% IE instead of 50%. ie: I'll show SquareRoot of OE, and cap IE to it ; it'll also allow to make the OE speedy recovery rate triggers around 20-25% instead of 40% (as Sqrt(25%) = 50%), so people not watching their OE carefully will still end with 50% IE at start of the point, but this will occur later in the match ; the little downside is that the OE will look like slowly going down at 1st and then accelerating its depletion rate later on, but I'm sure it'll lead to many interesting & mysterious theories amongst the TE communities...

Well the problem is that the top bar which is IE never goes to max.(until unless there is a changeover) if u play one big rally. It's like if the situation is 40-30 on my serve and i play a big rally then i see my IE decrease to 20% and if i lose the point then i am almost done with my stamina in the remaining points which makes me lose the game. I think IE stamina should be raised a little higher than what it is now. Hmm i agree OE may not go to 0% after many sets but it indirectly is effected by IE and vice versa.

Manutoo, never increase the stamina but decrease it a bit (a lot), though boring baseliners will either have to go more often to the net or to do more drop shot and TE will be more beautiful and interesting... McEnroe, where are you ?

I actually have a problem with how I'm the one being aggressive and the opponent is the one with the more stamina, and it's not even close -_- I just lost to Verdasco who was just defensive slicing me till an UE for more than half of the points. And my stamina level is above 80. It happens all the time. Is it because I only use the "acceleration" stroke (Button 1 + Button 2) ?

Silverbullet96,
don't do accelerations all the time, you have to use them only when it makes sense.
