@Everybody:

Test Version #3 is out :
https://www.managames.com/Forum/ftopic1629.php

@Serena_Fan :
>> Because the earlier the better and when you take it late its a bad thing

In past 15 years, only a few extraordinary players could hit the ball on its ascending phase on a regular basis ; they are : Agassi, Federer & Rios, all n°1 players...
Most players hit the ball around its top (if it's not too high) or even a bit in its descending phase.

If you want to take the ball early, choose the "Counter" style for your player, it should help u (but u can't do strong acceleration with this style), and rise your counter skill to 100%.

@S.Williamz :
>> how will it be impossible to hit passing shots?

I think now, in about 30% of cases, I'm short on time to hit a well placed passing short when my opponent is volleying (Pro level, Varied Style).
Rising the timing to allow an easier "on-the-line" targeting will make this happens a lot more often...

The current timing is about 0.6s to aim for the line, when u're a bit after the baseline.

One thing u may not have noticed is that the timing depends of where u stand. The closer of the net, the faster, the more deep after the baseline, the more slow.
So u might want to do acceleration only when u stand near the baseline, so ur instinct could learn more easily the time needed to aim on the line.

Online game creation has the Arcade/Simu choice.

@CC :
Thanks for the pics. Although it's unclear if still can see through the clothes or not ..?

>> Drop Shot

The Drop Shot is now on B2 + up.
B1+B2+up = Short Acceleration... ;)

@taylor :
Cuff = wristband... :P
.ini = file for Initialization... :)

@Everybody having trouble with positioning & timing:

Try to play in arcade mode...
I guess despite I'm getting older, my reflexes are still better than most players, so for me, it is very well tuned right now... :P

Like it is now, I feel the volleys being hard to send near the lines, but not too hard.
I did a test by lowering the timing (just by a bit, only 25% slower..!), and it became way too easy to keep the ball in the court and aiming near the line... :?

Also, u don't need to send the ball near the line to hit a winning volley if u use acceleration.

U need also good volley skills if you want to play at the net.

I think I cannot change the timing between the Arcade & Simulation modes, as it'd make quite too hard to go & back from each other...
So hopefully, if you play in Arcade mode, u'll worry less about the positioning and could focus on the timing... :roll:

Manutoo,

Thanks as always for all of the great explanations and taking the time to answer everyone who posts here -- that is great. As for the visuals, I don't think that I can see through the clothes, but there are some distortions. Some of the front part of the clothes is missing on the female players. I'll post more in the thread for the new test version.

The movement when pushing off is awful, you have to hold the direction button for ages before he starts to sprint, by which time the poiny is generally over

R.Gasquet, as already stated many times, the acceleration is quite realistic when u have 75% in speed, and already faster than best real players (ie: Federer) when u have 100%... :roll:
