When playing against the computer I often find that I have a much easier time winning points off of a slow slice serve rather than an acceleration serve. It seems like 7 out of 10 times I do a slice serve the computer either misses completely or meekly slices the ball. Yet when I do an acceleration serve it seems the computer does much better returns. This often ends with me having a higher winning percentage on second serves than first serves. Why is this? The computer should be resorting to slice returns on acceleration serves, not the other way around. I've fiddled with both my service stats and the computer return skills and it remains that I have more success with slice serves than acceleration serves.
