All styles should have equal stamina

Postby n 201 » 23 Dec 2013, 11:46

The way baseliners get winners in realistic mode by using the advantage of extra stamina that they have is the major drawback in the mode. If players with other styles cannot win points especially while playing rallies, I think people lose interest in the online tour which may follow realistic mode in 2014 :( For Example, if i hit a decent return to a power baseliner, he just attacks all the time with power strokes and on the other hand even if i defend well.....i tire quickly than baseliner and also if i hit power strokes it will be even more tiring. Coming to net becomes so tough because i don't have any power left to push my opponent into defensive position with my shots and thereby killing Volleyer/Varied styles. I think all styles should be given equal stamina. However to help baseliners, they should be given the advantage of hitting the shots "consistently" deeper(not have more stamina) compared to other styles. But in fair mode as the power effect is reduced, i feel it justified all styles. However i agree with people who said that Fair mode is slower with ground-stroke speeds ranging just a max. of 130kmph. So please give equal stamina to all styles to justify all styles and then keep realistic mode for online tour.
P.S. John Isner and Nicholas Mahut were volleying most of the time in Wimbledon epic match and they have exceptional stamina too. Varied style players have same stamina. Stamina should not be dependent on playing styles.

Hello,

all styles have the same stamina ; the difference is on the tiredness of the acceleration ; it's a bit less tiring for Powerbaseline than for other styles, and very little bit tiring for the Counter.
Exact details are there => https://www.managames.com/tennis/doc/Ten ... html#style .

Manutoo, I saw it before. The problem is accelerations. Why does other styles have extra accelerations and hence they tire slower compared to volleyers/varied style players. This is not seen in real life. The accelerations should be same if we both keep same points for it! but it is not the case. 780 point rule really makes us to use everything economically and everyone should have equal advantage of their styles. If i can't have same accelerations of that of a baseliner, getting to net and volley is just damn difficult to do. In fact in realistic mode, it's more than difficult to say LOL ':D The baseliner should hit deeper shots when good accelerations are finished on his side but not more accelerations compared to me. Both should have equal accelerations. Here are few things i can say, i hope u find them interesting--->
1.) All styles= same accelerations
After all accelerations are used i.e., after getting puff from racquet,
2.) A Baseliner must have the ability to hit deeper shots but with small power i.e., power of b1 button
3) Similarly puncher and other styles but with less depth in the shot making.
So all styles have equal ups and downs in their styles. More realistic. I can't see myself holding more stamina compared to a baseliner once the match goes to second set LOL. Even i am good at volleying, i can't do much once the stamina perishes. This stuff is not seen in real life. In fact Volleyers have great stamina even when they play rallies with accelerations---->best example: Ivan Ljubicic!

More depth on accelerations isn't really much interesting... And the most logical perks for Power Baseliners is the possibility to hit more accelerations, so it won't change...
All other styles also have great perks, so all in all the balance is pretty good...
And if you're a volleyer, you have to take the net early, you don't need that much stamina.
