No, the twohanded backhand is more powerful because you have more ways to generate power.
7. More power – the power of the one-handed backhand comes mostly by stepping into the ball. Rotation of the body and backswing are second in line. When hitting a two-handed backhand, power can also come from stepping into the ball (lateral force), but also from rotating the upper body around the head (angular force) to lessen the degree from the backswing. So, it is obvious that the two-hander has an edge over the one-hander.
From Tennismindgames Not my analysis.

Made an account to comment on this: yes, this is true. It was long believed for quite some time that the one-handed backhand had a great ability to produce velocity; however,
since 2007 at the very least (p. 6), this has been labelled a misconception. The two-handed backhand has a greater ability to produce velocity, as we can see in
this study. This misconception stems from the fact that the one-handed backhand has a longer swinger, and because of its longer swing, it
must be able to produce more power, just like how the forehand is more powerful than a backhand because the forehand has a longer swing. Fortunately, for two-handed backhand users, the shorter swing path is easily made up by their greater body rotation, which in turn produces more power than the one-handed backhand, as noted in the first study. There are other studies that conclude this as well, however I cannot post them as the forums prevent me from posting too many links in my posts since I'm new.

I don't know if anyone noticed that in the gameplay but I experienced some difficulties with hitting down the line winners. I feel like it's somehow unbalanced with the easy way I hit those cross-court winners. I guess it's related to the curvy path the down the line shot has.
I know this isn't related to AI but however, I think it's important for more realistic gameplay .
The other point is that the amount of the winners is a little bit exaggerated . Increasing the rallies length as well as reducing the ball speed will give the game a more realistic appearance .

Hey Manutoo,
Ill give my 2 cents to discussion
There are in my opinion 2 things which could be done to further improve gameplay depth:
1. Having slice strike to have separate stats to topspin/acceleration stat. This is especially important as we know in real life there is whole of of examples who have shitty tospin backhand but excel in slices.
2. Having separate top spin value for both forehand and backhand wing oppose to just one for both.
Im pretty sure this could allow us to make truly distinquish players both offline and online and believe should not require much coding to implement considering how natural these two things are in real life.

Player challenges, but have them so they can go either way and also that the AI uses them but isn't always correct..
further improve commentary, a few comments for when a quality passing shot is made or an exquisite lob
introduce form..for career ai and player
also how about if it's not in the game already the affect that new balls have on shot speed
a sprint fuction/button
otheer affects like crowd gesturing disscusions arguments with umpires, injuries
an in built editor
and then just general changes like more animations, ballboy/girl actually run across the court..jeje
a hold movement button...shoulder button...which is it implies stops all player movement when pressed for those who find the controls difficult.

There should be a RankForYear for singles and another for doubles, because there are tennis players who play only siengles during their career and then when they are older they only play doubles, for example, Julio Peralta and Hewitt.

Hi Manu!
I know that it would be too late for this type of suggestion....

.
What do you think about animations "in game" like:
1)handshakes at the end of the match
2) players changing court (while there is a graphic that shows us stats about the match until that point)
3) ballboys giving towel and balls to the players
4)special celebrating after a point or tournament victory
These are too many suggestions, i know it could be very difficult, but it would be the BEST TENNIS GAME EVER.

Hi Manuto, here are my suggestions.
1) I never had a half volley on the Tennis Elbow 2013. You know first touch to the court and less than a second touches to racket. It would be really good.
2) I think you should make three different slices. 1 Defensive slice that gonna has less fault possiblty safety play. 2. Agressive slice, this can give you the advantage of the rally if opponent cant hit good to that deep and low agressive slice but also there should be more fault possiblty than the first one to hit it. And third, slice with the side spins, i mean when ball touches to opponents courts its gonna bounce to left or right depends on if its a backhand slice or forehand slice.
3) I think serve should be a bigger weapon. It was very good idea to have three different serve options. But im just saying the one we hit ace or none returend serve should be bit more stronger in my opinion.
4) I think in career mode badge would be amazing. Forexample when we hit 500 ace in career mode. We can have ace badge or something different and sounds interesting. After having this badge we can hit more aces. Another idea if we hit 500 backhand winners we can have a boost on backhand shots. If we save 10 match points or 50 whatever, we can have clutch badge and we can play these points better.
Hope these helps Manuto. I love this game and really been lookin for this game to be out.

I already know that is the best game ever

but some things that other tennis games have( example: [Please don't advertize concurrent games] or virtua tennis 4 for PS4), tennis elbow doesn't have. But it's and it will be the best tennis game ever

Number 3 is also a good idea but the serve has been improved on TEM2 and it's now way better.

TE13 with itst mod has perfect rallies online. The only few issues to focus on :
1) Shots should go out more in depth & more in the net
2) The whole volley system must be reworked, it's nonsense in TE13 (no animations, no sensations, no precision, no realism with the body shot...), you must watch videos of Federer at the net to improve this part of the game --> especially the jump to reach passing shots in terms of animations.
3) The footsteps to kill the soap feeling. As the other guys said, it's the biggest weakness of TE
4) Totally remove the scripts (circle dancing, autopos...) for the least assisted gameplay mode.
5) The horrendous menus that look more like mazes than menus.
Everything else would be bonus (we don't care about graphics!)

Only one suggestion I would like to point out for my part:
I think I would appreciate it if TE4 could include a pre-match warmup.
This would be very simple, similar to the way it is in real-life with a couple of rallies, volleying, and serving with your match opponent.
I know it is already possible in Training Club mode but it would be great to integrate it into the World Tour mode before every match.
