Volleying ball despite going out

Postby erkjonsson » 09 Sep 2013, 00:12

Hi,

I sometimes experience problems with my player volleying the ball on, around or even sometimes behind the baseline despite the ball really clearly is heading far out. I mean, I realise it sometimes happens when you've approached the net but when you're back at the baseline it shouldn't happen.

So my question is, is this a bug or is it something I do? Whether or not I hold any keys at given moment doesn't seem to matter. Just had it happen at terrible timing which lead to me losing the match.

If it's a bug, I understand, hard to make games without any bugs whatsoever, I just want to make sure it's not something I do.

It's not a bug, it's a feauture. ;) If you are in a position from where you could strike the ball you will always hit the safe shot when you do not hold any other shot button.

Hello,

your player guesses if the ball is going to be out or not, with a significantly rate of misjudgements when the ball is close of the line. This rate also depends of his play style : volleyers make less judgement mistakes when at the net, and baseliners when at the baseline.
If you see the ball is going to be out, you still can try to step aside, although sometimes you don't have time to do that.
