Form of the day

Postby miketheslummy » 10 Jun 2013, 17:46

Hi guys.
I would like to know more about form of the day.

How much does it affect player stats? For example if form is : - 0.33 what does it exactly mean?
I'm interested about that because I would like to retune it if possible.
Thanks in advace

Hello,

if you see -0.33 in the Stat screen (shortcut = F6), then it means the CPU level is 3.3 sublevel lower than normal.

Thanks a lot.

I play Master sub level 10.
Does it mean that players couldn't play better that master 10?
Or if someone has form for example = +something ... they switch on to the next level (incredible)?

Yup, they'd go near Incredible-1.

Sorry Manutoo...
I'd like to have more informations about form of the day...

+0.92 means that cpu plays near to the next sub level or is the cpu already at the next sublevel?

to be clear for example. I play on master 10. Cpu player is +0.92 form of the day.
Does he go near to incredibile 1 ? Or is he actually at incredibile one ?

Does +0.1 means that cpu plays one sublevel up or +1.0 means that?

Sorry hope I have been good in explanation...

Regards

1 = 1 level
0.1 = 1 sublevel
Master-10 = Incredible-0
Master-11 = Incredible-1
Master-10 + 0.92 = Incredible-9.2

Manutoo,

Sorry for reviving this old post, but I have a question about form of the day.
I noticed it is off by default (just checked my profile .ini and it is set to 0), but is there any other parameter that decides how will MY player play? I mean, sometimes I feel I commit more errors than normal, bad serve percentage, and my balls don't seem to get much power or to be very precise. Is this all my fault in some way or is there something that makes me having a bad or a good day? Because, as I understood, form of the day affects only CPU players, right?

For example, I had a match against Robby Ginepri, had a very tough match because of too many errors (I beat him before without problems). Today I had a match against Youzhny (same type of player, but with better stats), and I played MUCH better, only 2 unforced errors in 1st set.

And another question: I lost 4 times already to Volandri, and I won against players that supposedly are much better (based on stats). Is there something that makes my player play worse against someone who has beaten me many times? Like a "fear factor" or something?

Thanks! :D

antimouse,
form of the day is only for CPU.
Your own form comes from your real form in your real brain... ;)
Only your serve may be better or worse outside of your own skills, as its success & speed are random, sometimes the number can add up in a very bad way, and sometimes in a good way.
Also, CPU players have hidden skills (all the mental skills in Players.ini), but you see only the technical skills in the match presentation ; the mental skills have low influence on the match (some have 0 influence), but still, they can be enough to change a bit the balance.
