Hi Manutoo
i just saw the topic and it's pretty interesting  ,what about trying it on iOS like virtua tennis challenge,it's really playable(i personaly play it on my iPhone).i think TE might be better than virtua tennis challenge(at least TE is more realistic than virtua tennis challenge)

Here is picture that shows the keyboard and i can ensure you that is really playable

hamzafederer,
you must have very thin fingers or a very big screen..! :P
For TE, it'd probably require 9 shot buttons, as it might be hard to not press up/down during the strike preparation, so the screen would be kinda cluttered.

It doesn't have to be like TE on Windows/Linux Version, but a simpler/more arcade version with less features. 4 buttons will be enough for the slice/regular/acceleration shots + 1 for lob/short strike.

I believe you're missing a great opportunity here. TE has a great gameplay and it could potentially sell a lot + adverstising for the full-game version. The app-stores are huge markets

I was thinking something like this:
TE for mobile.jpg
TE for mobile.jpg (97.98 KiB) Viewed 1598 times

isnt that hard right? of course, all in 3D version
almost all the smartphone had a good screen so that wont be a problem (my mobile have a 4 inches screen),of course theres the Tablets too :P I dont think that screen would be smaller in the future so you dont have to worry about it.
we just give you ideas, dont take it wrong.

Lucian86,
the way the stores work often means only the top games have decent visibility ; tennis being a very niche market, I doubt it'd do well on such kind of places.
And if I have to re-work the gameplay, it might requires a too big investment... Next edition of TE (ie: TE4) should be much easier to port to mobiles, though, so once it's there (in a long, long time :P ), I could have a look to the feasibility of a quick port.
