Wow, just WOW! I bow down to managames

Postby pallebrun » 01 Apr 2013, 23:31

Hi,

I just wanted to tell you guys that this tennisgame is BY FAR the best tennisgame ever created, and it's not even a professional studio that have made it, that is just sick.
I'm a huge fan of tennisgames and this game completley kills games like top spin 4. It's not even funny.

I found this game by accident and then downloaded the demo. First it was tough since the controls where so much harder than say top spin4 (playing with elite controls and no indications in elbow2013), which is incredible easy even on expert. But after a few demomatches i started to get the controls and finally demolished my cpu-opponent. I love how you can place the ball basicly anywhere you want, as long as you have the right placement. And as a baseliner in real-life with a forehand to die for ;) I tried to mimic my real-life playing style, and to my surprise it worked out great. I could run around and hit my inside-out forehands and hit backhands only if I had no other option.
And the animations... Just wow! Federer and nadal is dead on (I have only seen those two from youtupe-clips).

I will now go on and order this incredible game. My only problem with it is that it took too long for me to find out about it... :(

Keep up the awesome work!

Ps: You shuld also teach the professional developers how it shuld be done...:)

Hello,

I'd echo the sentiments of the OP, great work! :)

I try to spread the word whenever I can - on a couple of other forums I've tried to bring attention to the game and I think a few people tried the demo and a couple of them purchased the game.
When I was playing the game on a train journey, someone noticed the game over my shoulder and was curious so I let them know where to find it.

There's a fair few people online at most times of day, but this game definitely deserves a bigger following and I try to get the word out there :).

I wish there were such a game with sim-like gameplay for football - FIFA and PES are very arcadey!

@pallebrun - You should try some of the mods, I suggest the ITST patch for online play and Dilima's ATP/WTA patch for offline play - the game looks fantastic with them installed :).

Ah I see manutoo. No wonder the game is this good then. You obviously know your way around coding. :)

@Rob92 Yeah, I downloaded the patch and have been using it. It makes an already awesome game even more awesome. :)
Great animations and courts, incredible! I'm in my first year on the tour, and man, I have been loosing every single match in round 1 of the qualifies!! But now in week 10 I got through the qualifies and just won the first round in the main draw. :) I obviously thought I was better than I am, and had the difficulty way above my level.. And still the game was great.
Now it's tough matches but now I actually have a chance of winning..:P
