Why the name "Tennis Elbow"?

Just curious, it's a bit like calling a football game "Groin Strain 2013".

Hello,

when I started to create TE back in 1994, the tennis games were almost all called something with "super" or "master" or "ultimate" or any other kind of superlative, and all that to deliver games that didn't feel any close of real tennis.
So I thought I'd give a not serious name to my game, but I'll be serious about the gameplay & realism of it, ie: the opposite way of all these other games... ;)

That's pretty cool! I know what you mean haha there were so many games around with those names - I used to play Pete Sampras Tennis on the Megadrive so much as a kid though and loved it!

1994, wow that's a while ago now! You must enjoy doing it to dedicate that much time - and I appreciate the effort because I love Tennis Elbow :).

Tennis Elbow is an awesome name, maybe it even influenced other games names, like Top Spin for example...

The best tennis game ever... bar none. Many continued thanks to Manutoo for all of his efforts to keep the improvements coming. I've been playing since 2004 and will continue too for as long as it's around :)
