Playing currently with Nadal in Doha. Defeated Pospisil in 1st round 6-4 7-5, Stepanek in 2nd 6-3 6-1 and now playing with Gasquet :)

Can you play with 4 players , I always get an option to choose 1 player only

Nadal is so sick ! I've finished 2nd in the 2013 ATP season with Dimitrov, winning Wimbledon, and a couple of MS 1000, Nadal won AO, RG and USO. I've started the season 2014, i've destroyed Murray and Djokovic in quarter and semi-final in straight sets, and again i've been defeated by Nadal in the final, he never makes an UE, and he's never tired...I've only 59 of stamina, i can't find a way to beat him, and it's disproportional, i play in pro 10, and there's no other player who push me to my very limits.

What you think wta setting is the most realistic?
By the way I played my first career 3 months ago , and as I can remmember I sterted in 2004, in that year I won 2 CH 1FU and hava 2 Final of CH and one final of FU. My first GS was RG, my best results on GS is 3R on RG, my best results on ATP 1000 is 1/4 in Montreal, my best results in other tournament is FInal of Umag. First year I finished in top 100, second year I wasn't finish :D . My favourite court is Hard Indoor, I most hate strong punchers. I was played on inc 1

Just a question, when playing career mode how do you decide what tournaments you will play for the year? Its not very realistic to play every possible tournament. In real life, the amount of tournaments a player plays is determined by many thing - they need adequate time to rest for example.

When playing career I play as a real-life pro (example: Dimitrov) and follow their actual real-life schedule.

What do you do?

Thanks

What ranking did everyone start their career on?

I started at ranking 1000, pro 10, elite controls.

Half through the first year I still have to qualify for future events (have made one final and one semi), and don't have a ranking high enough to qualify for challengers. It is very slow going, but Im enjoying it.

Hi all,

I started off my career around 2 months ago - have been playing regularly and am now in the year 2006, which is my 3rd year on tour, under new player I created (James Zeiner). Started playing under level Pro 1 (because I wasn't sure how good that would be) - switched slowly up to Master 1 by the 2004 French Open. Started off ranked no. 500 I believe. Not the first time I've played the game, I've had the demo version for almost 1.5 years, but only recently purchased the full version :)

Here's my Career in Review thus far:

2004:

Won future event Spain F1 & Andrezieux (+ Qualifying) - gained enough points to enter Memphiss ATP 250 . Won Memphis as a qualifier, defeating Roddick in semis then Henman in the final. Then properly broke through onto the ATP World Tour rapidly, reaching finals in Indian Wells and Miami (l. both to World No. 1 Federer). I climbed to World number 16 after Miami. Then won Monte Carlo and Madrid back-to-back for my first set of Masters 1000 titles (!). I entered Roland Garros seeded 7, but lost in the 4th round to an inspired Guillermo Canas in straight sets. I then entered Halle and won my first grass court tournament, beating Federer in a close final. Federer got his revenge when he beat me in the 2004 Wimbledon Semi Final in 4 sets. In US Summer Hard Court Season: I lost to Guillermo Coria in Toronto, didn't play Cincinnati and retired from US Open quarter-final against Gaudio. But I had gained enough points to rise to No. 3 in the world when Paris Masters came around - survived a thriller against Ferrero in R3 before going on to win my 3rd Masters 1000 title, beating Jonas Bjorkman in the final. I qualified for the World Tour Finals - beat Henman and Moya but lost to Gaudio in round-robin, then thrashed by Lleyton Hewitt in the semifinals.
Ended the year Ranked No. 2, with a W/L records of 74-8.

2005:

Opened in Sydney ATP 250 tournament - defeated Federer in 3 sets in the final.
2005 Australian Open: Was a very tough draw for me, but I managed to win the title, beating Nadal (4 sets), Gaudio (5 sets), Coria (5 sets) and Agassi (3 sets) back-to-back as the No. 2 seed!
Lost in the Dubai final (retired "hurt"), but won both Indian Wells and Miami back-to-back, defeating rising star Nadal both times. Continued win streak by winning Monte Carlo and Madrid, beating Federer and Puerta (Nadal in Madrid SF). Then won Roland Garros 2005, defeating Hewitt in QF, Nadal in SF and Coria in the Final, becoming World No. 1 for the first time! Skipped Halle and went into Wimbledon for the grass season. Had a shaky 4th round match against Fernando Gonzalez where I had to save 3 match points before winning. Went on to reach the Final, losing to Federer in 4 sets. I got upset in the 3rd round of Montreal, rebounded by winning Cincinnati without dropping a set or being broken, but lost in R3 of the US Open.
After and up-and-down summer hardcourt season, I won my first China Open title (beating Coria in the final), lost to Henman in the Basel semifinals and then was upset in R3 of the Paris Masters (failing to defend my title). Appeared in my 2nd World Tour Finals where I beat Nadal and Agassi but lost to Coria in Round Robin, beat Roddick in the SFs then lost to Federer in the final.
Still ended the year ranked No. 1 with a 70-8 record for the season (at one point I was 50-1 on the season)

2006:

Successfully defended my Sydney title, defeating Nadal and Federer back-to-back. Am now participating in the Australian Open as defending champion.

Total W/L record to date: 148-16
Titles:

2005 AO: Zeiner def. Agassi 6-2, 6-3, 6-1
2005 RG: Zeiner def. Coria 4-6, 6-3, 7-6, 6-2

2004 Monte Carlo: Zeiner def. Federer 6-3, 6-4
2004 Madrid Masters: Zeiner def. Roddick 7-6, 6-0
2004 Paris Masters: Zeiner def. Bjorkman 6-4, 6-0
2005 Indian Wells: Zeiner def. Nadal 6-1, 7-6
2005 Miami Masters: Zeiner def. Nadal 6-3, 6-4
2005 Monte Carlo: Zeiner def. Federer 7-6, 7-6
2005 Madrid Masters: Zeiner def. Puerta 6-1, 6-0
2005 Cincinnati: Zeiner def. Roddick 6-3, 6-2

Notable Head 2 Head Records (as of 2006 Australian Open):

Zeiner tied with Federer at 6-6
Zeiner leads Nadal 7-0
Zeiner leads Roddick 8-0
Zeiner leads Coria 5-2
Zeiner leads Agassi 5-0
Zeiner leads Safin 4-0
Zeiner leads Hewitt 2-1
Zeiner leads Henman 3-1
Zeiner leads Gaudio 4-2

Current streaks of 20 wins on new-line synthetic (slow) hard court; 17 straight wins on clay. 5 clay titles, 4 synthetic titles, 3 hard titles, 1 grass title.
32 weeks at No. 1 (all consecutive so far), 1 year ended at No. 1 (2005)

Thank you! I'm using the ITST Mod 1.16, with my old profile overlapped on top, which I find to be quite nice and realistic (otherwise the court speeds are too fast and the bounce is crazu). I'm very passionate about tennis and think this is the best game I've seen - we'll see how long I can keep up my motivation for playing  If I find I get really good and the Master 1 level is easy, then I'll probably remove autopositioning

I'm literally playing out the AO 2006 Quarter Finals right now, on course to meet Rafa in the semis!

Took a bit of a break from the game, but I've won the 2006 Australian Open. I dominated the early rounds of the tournament (no-one took more than 2 games off me) including a 6-2, 6-2, 6-1 thrashing of Marat Safin in R4. Got tested by David Ferrer but won 7-6, 7-5, 7-6 then dropped my first set to Davyenko in SFs but won 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, 7-5 in around 2 hours, 40 mins. Ended by beating Federer 6-7, 7-6, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 in a thrilling 3 hr 42 min 5-set final to defend my 2005 title! :) Also my first victory over Fed in a Grand Slam
I'm currently 13-1 on the season and have just started playing in Dubai

I am planning to write down my career , but it will be like on episodes :D , cause i plan to go far.... Currently 2013 YEAR (with SAM MEGAPATCH LATEST VERSION)
Started 30th ranking plainyg on pro 8 (simulation controls) (started on pro 6 on my last careers but it was too easy to win a slam the first year ) , and i have one condition - when i win slam i put on difficulty higher :) . Played at Chennai the first week - havent got any problems really , 1rd round 6/1 6/1 vs Murali (india) , 2nd round vs Zemlja 6/1 6/2 , then the i've beat in 3rd round Darcis 6/2 6/3 and Pospisil in the semis (my first tough match 6/4 6/3 ) saved some break points :D , and the final was an easy one (but that's why i went to chennai :D ) - Giraldo 6/1 6/2 . Now i am at the Australian Open (ranked 27 , first bulgarian racket :D ) . 1st round was vs DAvid Goffin (but 2013 he was not that great , and one sam's patch he is not that either :D ) 6/1 6/2 6/2 easy win . Then i had really troubles in second round , Bautista Agut 2/6 (my serve wasnt there , and he played great ) then a really close 6/3 second part , and then he gave up i think 6/2 6/2 on the last two sets . In the 3rd round i played vs Nishikori - Very Easy first part 6/2 , the second one was a bit harder , he broke me , but i broke him twice and the part finished 6/3 . In the third part i had really problems , he broke me first and the was serving for 4/2 , but couldnt hold his server and i made 3/3 , from then on i was just better adn the part finished 6/3 again. Murray is waiting me in 1/4 finals if i get past ... BHUPATHI ! (how did this guy went to 4rd round i dont know , he is serve-volleyer , but couldnt do it much against me , my serve games are very easy) 6/3 6/3 for now and i have the lead in 3rd set 2/0 , so i am almost in the second week :)

Here we go... my career continues. I finished BHUPATHI fast in 6/3 6/3 6/2 and got shot at Murray in 1/4 finals. The match was really insane , but also a strange one. He played too deffensive and counter-punching. There was a times when i was annoyed by his returns ... :o . The first part went great for me serving well to 5-5 and then i've had problems . I went 40-15 (on my serve) but couldnt make it 6/5 , he got 2 break points , but i saved them both :D. The game continued i think somewhere arround 10 minutes (real time :D) but lastly i've won it .. and what a suprise , i went to broke him to 0. So 7/5 for me. The second part started amazing , just when i finished the first broking him for 1-0 , but then he broke me back 1-1 , got his serving game , and broke me AGAIN for 2-1. I couldnt get the 2 break of serves back and just accepted the loss. Set ended 6-3 for him. So 7/5 3/6. The third set was the turning point. We've started with 2/2 and then he broke me for 3/2 and eventually made 4/2. I was ready to surrender really and just hope to get something ... but then he started to play ultra deffensive :D and i hit some great shots. Rebroke him and we went to tie-break where i just somehow was the better player 7/6 (0). I was just overconfident and in the third part i broke him one time for 6-3 . I think i've somehow went better in this match second set. Already thinking to go on pro 9 :D. My semifinal was with Del Potro (what a stats this guy has...) . We both served well , through the first set , but he go the edge... 6-3 his forehand was just insane sometimes. I didnt believe i myself for the second set , but after his 2 UE on 5-4 for me (and his serve) i started dreaming , and yes the impossible happened 6/4 for me ! 3/6 6/4. And again like in murray's match the 3rd set was the decider. It went all great to 3-3 when i managed to broke him for 4-3 , but unforutanetly he broke me back instantly for 4-4. Then we've served 2 games each and entered in tiebbreak where.... he started with 2-1 lead (no breaks) then 3-2 for me, 4-3 for him , 5-4 for me and then ... he hit really weak serves , i had the chance to finish im , but unfortunately i made 2 UE and gave him 6-5 lead. After that i was just beatdown and lost the set 5-7 on tiebreak. 3/6 6/4 (5)6/7. In the 4th i couldnt really much , he won it 6/2 , he was the better man. After my AO i am plainyg at ABN AMRO (netherland) just demolished Mayer in first set 6-1 , just starting the second one .
