This is a positive change. The transparency is improved. I still remember how I lose the shanghai doubles match by RL when the banned mod Kuga/Sheraz, who is also a close friend of my opponent VampireZattitude, used the overriden RL to make her friend win without letting me know the real %. But it will be even better if mods can tell us their standard of when to use the original RL% and when to use the overridden %.
I recommend that:
1.If mods find that some high-ranked players abuse it against some very good but lower-ranked players they should override it to 50:50.
2. Also If a player has won by RL already in the same tournament, the mods should override it the next match decided by RL, whether he abuses it or not because It shows his lack of effort to organize matches despite not intentionally abusing it. (say if a high ranked player has 80:20 for his first RL match, the next time the RL should be overriden to 50:50 even if he is not abusing it. If it is the third time he uses RL, it should be further reduced to 25:75)
It is not a secret that many top-ranked players abuse RL when they face tough opponent who is ranked lower than themselves. (Or less good players abuse RL to beat good players that they have little chance to beat) Half of the matches they played are decided by RL and WO. The vicious cycle is that they use RL to get to high-ranking, then they abuse it again to maintain the ranking since they have even higher RL % now due to their high ranking. The attitude is that they would rather like to use RL than to play the match. This is very ridiculous since we are on the tour to play actually but not to click the RL button and win some undeserving matches.
