Attention Ladder Players! lol

I have a rather big announcement to make for anyone interested, I will post a thread about it later maybe, but anyhow, I conjured up a new ranking system today, that will make things have a little bit more sense hopefully. lol. Here's how it works:

I will update the "Standings(now "Official Ladder Rankings" lol)" only once at the start of each month, not after every score like before. Instead, I will keep updating the "Race Rankings" all the time, and after each month of play, I will update the Standing to be the same as the Race Rank. This way the Race will have more meaning as it will decide the Standings every month. Meaning, the Race winner will be ranked number one, second will be number 2 etc...hopefully it will be more fun this way!

Also, the new "Head to Head" statistics will serve as the key to decide how the race rankings will turn out. The race rank will be based on them. Simply put, who has the most impressive head to head "chart" will be ranked n.1, second best n. 2 etc...Impressive means winning head-to-heads against high ranked players. If two players have similar "charts" the head to head between them will decide the ranking. I will count new head to heads for each month and archive the rest.

The new system will be in effect from this month on so I will alter the Race Rankings a bit. I hope the system will work well! lol

And, players who haven't played any matches in a month on the ladder will be put into "Archived players" as inactive, so they will unfortunately dissapear from the rankings, but it's easy to get ranked again of course. :D

Now if only anyone understood any of my babblings... :lol:

Attention ladder players again! lol

There will be a new feature, which is giving a scoring for each players head to head chart! I created a simple scoring system which should leave no doubt what a players ranking should be. Due to this new feature, there will be some changes in the rankings.

Here's how it goes:

Each player can have a head to head against another player up to 10-x. So head to heads that are 11-x cannot happen. But this doesn't mean that players should reduce the amount of matches they play, because I will calculate the head to head as such: for example, victories go 5-2 between two players, I will minus the 2 from the 5, so the "real" head to head will be 3-0. Only this head to head will have the cap of 10-x.

I will give points for each head to head, and they are valued differently. This is the reason for the 10-x cap for each month, so that players cannot score unlimited amount of points against players with a lower ranking. :lol: But, I doubt anyone will even get to a 10-x head to head in a month. lol

This is how the scores go:

1=12
2=11
3=10
4=9
5=8
6=7
7=6
8=5
9=4
10=3
11=2
12=1

The first number is a players ranking(in the "Official Ladder Rankings"), and the second number is the score you get for a head to head of 1-0 against that player. So, if you have a winning head to head of 1-0 against S.Williamz, you will get 12 points. (no, this is not the Eurovision :lol: ) And, if you have a head to head of 2-0, I will multiply the score, to 24 points, and so on. So if you have a 10-0 head to head against the n.1 you get 120 points! lol

And as said in a previous post, I will recount the head to heads and scores in each month so it's always a fresh start for everyone on the ladder!

Hopefully someone had even mild interest in reading this #!&% and understood something about it. lol.

To check your scores see the "Head to Head statistics" topic.

Have fun! :D

If anyone has any opinions about this new thing, please share!
