In the text match engine you're able to change the player's playing style for the match. Is there a reference available somewhere that lists which playing style gets bonuses/penalties on which surfaces, and how much the bonus/penalty is (specifically for the text match engine)? E.g. does bulldog get a bonus on clay/slow courts and how much if so, does volleyer get a bonus on grass and penalty on clay, etc?

sorry, there's not such information easily available.

If you want to get some idea, you can turn on the DevMode (HowTo => topic19-32161.php ), then go to your Character Sheet and look the numbers on the bottom left. Norm is the global strength of your player (1 = 100%) ; you can click on the "-1" on its right to select the surface : from to 0 to 6, the surfaces are :

• ClayCourt
• GrassCourt
• Synthetic
• CementCourt
• IndoorCarpetCourt
• IndoorHardCourt
• BlueGreenCementCourt

-1 doesn't apply any surface modifier (IIRC).
After you have changed the surface number or your player style, exit and reenter the Character Sheet and Norm will have been updated.
