Hi Manutoo,
In TEM2 or even in TE4, world tour, when CPU player faces each other, apart from the rank per year, what else determines who wins? I am saying this for tournament draws mainly which gets simulated automatically. I have seen much lower ranked opponent beating a much higher one
The second question. Is the same rule applies to cpu doubles matches ? Is CPU selecting doubles partners on the rank per year ?

Hello,

just to be clear, the current rank almost doesn't matter. The RankPerYear will determine all the skills, except the topspin. And all the skills, the play style & the topspin depending on the surface speed, and the form of the day are what matters to determine the victory chances.

There are many rules for the CPUs to choose their doubles partner ; being relatively close in rank is one of them.

Hi Manutoo, is there a way I can mod the CPU matches to reduce the influence of play style and topspin, like an example, currently Nadal can never win the Wim in tem2 with his style & very high topspin. Is there a way to make it random between big 3 or the top players ?

No, you cannot Mod that.

IIRC, in my tests, Nadal could win Wimbledon occasionally (especially on his best years). It never happened to you ?

The years I have played, it did not happen, but yes Nadal is able to reach QFs in Wim. I am not aware how to simulate tem2 through the years, so could not test the frequency of win.

Turn on the DevMode (HowTo => topic19-32161.php ), turn off the weekly autosave in the Misc Options, then click on the new little arrow right of "Next Week" (and keep the button pressed down) ; on my I7@4.6ghz, I can simulate 1 year in 45 seconds.

You can also add this line, under [3dEngine] :
DevModeTest = 3
to simulate the first 3 years automatically (you can change to whatever you want).
