MichaelTA,
1) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) Fixed

2) Model 3 is bald, but shown as Model 1 before 18 yo ; I'll see if I can change that during the player creation

8) This is normal

9) Noted, I'll try to add it

10) I couldn't reproduce this bug ; if it still happens with the today's build, could you send me your saved games ?

11) I had forgotten to remove the Trial info from TE2013. I fixed that, but I'm not sure it'll work right away for you. If not, try to delete your current saved games in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Tennis Elbow Manager 2\Profiles\Default"

jmbockhorst,
1) 2) 5) Fixed

3) I'll fix that next time I get a saved game showing won titles (I didn't have time to get into today  )

4) I'll fix that for next build

6) Noted

Great job with the game so far! This version was much more stable and it was really fun to play.

A few small things:

1) None of the player or tournament links work when you are viewing a tournament's past champions right before you play your match or the match that you are currently in. They work once the tournament is over.

history.JPG
history.JPG (73.48 KiB) Viewed 1369 times

2) When you win a tournament it's not correctly showing the player name on the trophy.

win.JPG
win.JPG (50.28 KiB) Viewed 1369 times

3) Auto save slots are now C, D, and E.

4) When you view previous year's stats, should the "Current Year" column change to show to the previous year you are viewing, since the stats change to show that previous year? Also, should it show the year end rank for that previous year? Instead of showing the current one always?

And a suggestion:

5) It would be cool if you could view the Davis Cup previous years draws. Similar to how you can view other tournament draws. You can view individual tie's previous draws, but not the overall draw.

Enjoying this version more than the last. Although I did still find a couple of issues on this playthrough:

1) When I clicked to change one of the top 6 options for character customisation, the old trial version menu came up again with a misshapen back button.

TEM2_003.jpg

2) I would suggest that the tooltips appear when the mouse hovers over the body training options as a pro player as well, just to see what option increases what stat.

TEM2_006.jpg

3) On my first year in the pro tour (started the game as a pro), I could only select juniors as doubles partners and more importantly this meant I couldn't play in any futures tournaments for some reason (doubles only). I was able to select them and it asked if qualifying was okay, but when the tournament came around I didn't get to play in it. However I was able to play in a challenger event qualifying and I was able to enter a futures event by selecting it through the "other available qualifying" option.

4) To add to what jmbockhorst said, the tournament winner screen didn't work correctly, sometimes not displaying anything (when I won futures titles) and sometimes random symbols (when I won challenger titles). Although, the congratulations badge did display my character's name correctly whenever I reached the top x rankings in singles or doubles.

TEM2_007.jpg

TEM2_008.jpg

5) I said before about body building not increasing reflexes much and you said this was normal, although I don't understand why that is because as a junior the bodybuilding option states that it should increase reflexes as well as strength. I found that bodybuilding doesn't increase reflexes at all for a junior player.

TEM2_009.jpg

6) This may be intentional, but I found that the first 2 weeks in the junior tour there is no school to stop training in the mornings.

7) Again, regarding the hairstyles, this hairstyle that starts as default for the character isn't one of the 6 options in the customisation, so whenever I edit the hair once I can't get this style back.

TEM2_004.jpg

This hairstyle also shows through a cap.

Also I should add that bug 10 from before doesn't happen anymore for me. Although sometimes when I finish a match it will show my opponent's character customisation screen instead of mine so I can edit the opponents appearance and try to train their skills, however it just states that there's no time for training or no one is available to train with them. I don't know if its relevant, but this tends to happen if I right click to advance through the screens. after the match ended rather than clicking the appropriate buttons

jmbockhorst,
1) This is normal ; the menus can't be re-entered, so I had to set such kind of limit ; maybe in the future, I'll work out to allow infinite reentering, but not right now :fear:

2) 3) Fixed

4) It was actually bugged... >_< For the rank, it was not a bug per se, as I didn't think of that, so I changed it to make it reflect the current selected year !

5) Noted

old 3) I fixed the wrong Junior tournament titles in the Palmares screen, but I didn't test, so thanks to let me know if there's any issue :fear: (a saved game would be neat to test it correctly ;) )

old 4) I fixed the Yearly Stats screen, although right now it shows only Pro rankings ; I'll see to add a Junior filter, or automatically show the Junior rankings for Junior years

MichaelTA,
1) I just removed that limitation

2) Done

3) Should be fixed now

5) I needed a training to raise a bit the reflexes for the Junior player ; for the Pros, they have other options ; also, Reflexes can be a bit raised by other trainings

6) It's Xmas holidays ! :santa:

7) It's Style #3 Model #7.
Low budget title means some haircuts go through hats... :blackeye:

thanks for your reports, I added you to the Credits..! :jap:

The new version has very few bugs that I could find:

1) Whenever I'm in the planning menu, I can't scroll through the tournaments using the mouse wheel anymore.

2) The colour of the box surrounding the surface for Davis Cup is sometimes incorrect.

TEM2_010.jpg

TEM2_000.jpg

3) A suggestion is to have a button for "Next Week" or "Next Match" in the character's training menu when you turn pro, like there is for the junior character.

Hey Manutoo, so I've been playing the game for couple of days now mostly on women tour and I love it, but there were some slight issues I've faced:

1) During junior training i find it very difficult to max my players potentials even on Club level. I was literally only training constantly with focus on potentials and ended up with average player who barely made it to top 50 on Pro tour, and only because i choose "Serve and Volley" and focused on those 2 skills only plus mind shaping and body building. With "Power baseliners" i couldn't even make top 150

2) Increasing power during Junior training seems like a hectic thing to do. I've been increasing strength with body building but power potentials almost didn't grow at all. Maybe what could be done is to have same effect like in Pro Tour: strength increases power potentials for strikes and serve even once the junior training is done.

3) Juniors like Muguruza, Gavrilova, Puig, etc have insane skills almost all 100% ... I was already winning 100k challengers easily while still being a junior and was losing 6:0 6:1 to them on Junior Tour. Even later when I moved on to Pro tour I've had the most random players winning Grand Slams, and those were mostly juniors with those crazy skills. Below is a ranking for 2012, You'll see lots of random names on the top 25 list.

4) My suggestion for juniors training is to either additionally increase the length of junior training/effectivity of the training based on difficulty level/give additional 20-30% of potentials (again based on difficulty level) once turning pro. Or maybe there could be some amount of "pre-potentials" you could give to your player at the start of the game based on the style of player you want to develop. Also, there could possibly be a limit for the junior skills (70-80%)

I agree with this. When you start on the pro tour, on club difficulty, its not that difficult to become a top player and win top tournaments. But when you start as a junior player, your potentials are capped so low that it is hard to become good.

FFNU = Fixed for next update (hopefully coming tonight)

MichaelTA,
1) yes, it happens sometimes : for some strange reason, the game can't receive anymore the wheel input ; in this case, restarting the game fixes the issue

2) Actually, the Davis Cup shouldn't have any surface... (FFNU  )

3) Done for next update

4) I think I found the reason of having the wrong character when back to the Training screen after a match, so it should be hopefully FFNU

gilekarakter
1) Ouch, I actually didn't raise the training efficiency in the correct place for the Club level. So I just corrected FFNU plus I raised the potential training efficiency. If you want to try to tune it by yourself, you can add these 2 lines in your Tennis.ini :
Code: Select all
[WT_JuniorTraining]
PotentialScale   =   1.85

In current version, it is 1.55. Maybe it'll need to be set to 2 to be efficient enough.

2) A small issue there that I'm not sure how to fix : for the power skills, there's actually 2 different potentials... :fear:
There's the maximal potential that you raise when training the power, but there's also the current potential from the strength ; so the effective potential is the lowest one of the 2, and is the one shown in the GUI.
So if you don't raise your maximal potential at all when Junior, then once Pro, even if you raise your strength a lot, you still won't have your Power potentials going high (if it's not bugged :blackeye: )

3) I started a new game in 2008, last Junior year for Muguruza, and she was alright. Maybe you have a version from before last Sunday ? If not, could you send me your saved game ?

I already put efficiency to 2.0 as i really like the concept of junior training and now I'm between 1-4th place on Pro tour it's really interesting :D

Also, just for testing purposes I blocked the loss of skills (put is as 1.0000 in Tennis.ini) and it was really helpful regarding the power, as strength was constantly on 60% so i was able to develop other power skills.

I don't know how difficult it is for you to do it, but maybe during the summer and winter breaks the "School" part can be removed and be allowed to have 4 sessions of training for Juniors.

I figured out that as older the junior gets the less of the rest days days you can have. When 13-14 my junior gets really easily badly injured if i'm having 1-2 days of rest during the week... but in real life i believe that kids in that age are training every day lol... maybe there could be like a mix i.e. i if am training rallies and mind shaping the injury risk could be raised less than usual...

I really adore the concept of junior training and development it just a bit needs a bit of fixes:)

Maybe the power could be manageable if once you turn Pro it increases the same way it does once you start pro directly. That way a lot of time in developing a junior could be saved by developing only potential for strength, not the actual skill. Not sure if doable but t'd solve the current "problem".

I downloaded the latest version & i still had some juniors dominating the pro tour, i can send the save game, hopefully it will behave considering some changes I've made ( in Tennis.ini only)

gilekarakter,
1) You blocked the skill loss for Junior, or Pro, or both ?

2) You have school & holidays according the French schedule, so about 36 weeks of holidays per year... :)

3) From my readings, the younger the junior, the less he should train, thus the need to take more resting days ; but maybe in real they still train every day but less per day...

4) I think I'll make the Power potentials raise even if the strength skill is still low, this should work much better

5) Yes, if you have started a new game with the latest version and still have too strong players, send me your saved game telling me what player(s) to check, I'll have a look :fear:

The morning training stays on school year round, besides like the first two weeks of the game.
