The tiredness: players in real life are never tired. The stamina concept doesn't exist, it should not exist in tennis video games. It does have an impact over the course of a tournament, but not during a match.

Oh, maybe you should tell Andy Murray, David Ferrer and Gilles Simon that their playing style has always been harmless then :D :D :D

Perhaps I got it wrong, but if you want to tell us that players don't get tired during a match, then just try and play tennis, you should notice by yourself :D :D :D
Dominic Thiem
Andy Murray
Daniil Medvedev

Always !

moneygames,
1) In reality, there are many more things involved in the strike than a couple of fingers, and a tennis simulation will always be impaired by this, so it's necessary to do some "trick" to counter-balance this if the goal is to recreate a realistic tennis experience.
Anyway, at this point, I still didn't put any pure randomness error on correctly hit strikes in TEM2.

2) Of course, players get tired on a real court. It's however tricky to simulate this accurately because many parameters come into play ; plus, as you may have noticed, under a certain number of strike per rallies, the tiredness comes very slowly (eg: all 5-setters at Wimbledon), while above that number, the players can be on their knees even in the 3rd set, especially when coupled with a high rally intensity (eg: Nadal's opponents on clay :blackeye: )

Manu you are awesome!

Quick question in relation to the latest blog update, you mention crowds, will the crowds be 3D now to match the stadium quality? Also you mention NPCs, im guessing you mean chair, line umpires, will their character models be updated too?

Keep it up man!

tennisfan3344,
the crowd is already in 3D in TE2013 & TEM2 if you play with the 3D stadiums, they even can applause after a point ; but it's very low poly as there are a lot of people.

TEM2 won't see any new models (except the new 3D Coach Center).

New assets will come for TE4.

yiph2,
I'll be officially working on TE4 once the version 1.0 of TEM2 will have been released, so hopefully in June.

However, if TEM2 didn't exist, I'd be doing the exact same things at 90% since last November, as porting the TE Engine to Unity is the current required step...

I have to ask that how to select the player's "bone" in 3dsMax ? I saw your short tutorial to export .anim to .fbx but i didn't quite understand those step yet, hope to have more detailed explaination from you in the future :D

Davide Menez,
as explained in the step by step, click the skull (ie: the head) of the biped (ie: the skeleton).

If you follow the steps while in Max, you shouldn't have much issue.

It should be next to Triangle Pelvis. I guess 3DS Max 8 still didn't have this option, so you'll have to upgrade to 2013 (or 2014).

nico75,
I still didn't do the stuff required to import animation.
However, it is very recommended to toggle "Triangle Neck" right away, as going to the Pose stance can mess up some animations (it happened to 1 out of 150 for me :P ).
