1- you can already buy new courts in the Coach Center ; so the only option needed for you would be to select the initial court instead of being forced to have the Cement one

3- You can practice with other players of your current tournament by clicking on a surface in your character sheet ; you can do same at the Coach Center to practice with your sparring partner or other coached players

Yeah maybe that would be a really good option. But I thought it would also be cool to be able to travel to other training facilities and to therefore train on other surfaces without having to pay 40000 or more. Like maybe to pay a sort of rent.

Thanks for letting me know about the possibility of sparring with players from a tournament. I didn't know this!

Will there be a 3D Simulation? If so i really would like to have a "Highlight" mode, or let's say "important point" mode:

Game Simulating in background until score comes to pre selected score, for example every break, set or Match point, or you choose to see every game point and every tie break. Perhaps i want to see a complete final match of a grand slam, or just the match points (if the match is close it could be still surprising to see your player wasting 3 match points and the opponent wins with his first one).

This is the way i would love to play the game, with some of the other great ideas in this thread.

cj1984,
yes, it'll have a fast mode for the 3D matches where you will be able to choose what point to see : game points, break points, set points, match points.

It would be nice if it would be possible to see match statistics from CPU-matches as well.
But that 's maybe nog possible?

Another possible suggestion I have could be to increase the rate of injuries/have certain nagging or minor injuries that impact on skills - e.g. foot blisters reduces speed.
To make it friendly for all, you could also put in a feature (even if in the notepad file) where you can increase/decrease injury frequencies to your liking.

May be a bit hard to do, but just a suggestion.

davids96,
yes, I had thought about letting the player go on in the match even if injured, but with penalties (and chance to get injured even more!). Targeting specific skills in association of the injury could work well in some cases.

Don't hesitate to suggest anything that goes by your thoughts, and let me think if I can do them or not..!

You should be able to start later in a career. Like start in 2020 and go all the way till 2035 or something. My favorite part of the game is when it gets to fantasy years and made up players start taking over because I like imagining bios and personalities for the new players.

Id like to see the ability to watch a match, or at least match highlights.

For example, use tennis elbow 2013 as the highlights engine to watch matches your player(s) play.

Surely this would be relatively seamless.

Every sports management game on the market these days has highlights of some description. Look at Football Manager or International Cricket Captain.

too lazy to log in, dont have password set up atm...sry

But...what I want to see in TEM2 is more stats...maybe you already did this, IDK, haven't been checking your devlog...sry again

example...

If player retires, make it possible to still see his player card...to see how many tournaments he won, what tournaments he won, and to see head to head between him and any other players...
Pls...dont just delete retired player, cause we lose a chance to compare players in our alternate versions of reality

Make it able to see, on each players card, or somehow else, without too much clicking like in TEM original, where on rankings player finished each year...eg instead of clicking every single year, should be good that we can see it same as we can see for our player in TEM on one page...

Same for Davis cup, make its history more easy to check, instead of me getting all sherlock holmes like to see results of matches in finals of DC 5 years ago, make it more available...

Further...

Money, make it hard to manage, dont just allow us to got into red as much as we want...restrict us, make players end carrers because they dont have money, due to confidenc, family issues, bankrupcy...thus said, sponsor contratcs should be very thought through, give us few options, if we deserve it, and make sponsors tougher to give money, specially at the start...
Also, give us few more options what to do with money and make it influence players confidence or morale, in the way we spend it...you dont have to make some tycoon game, but give us few more options, or make coaches more expensive.

When I mentioned coaches, make them more diverse, each player in real life has whole teams of coaches around him, so allow us to have more than 3, but make them produce less impact than in TEM2, and make them more specific...instead of one coach giving 2-3 bonuses, just let him give us one and ability to reject to train us...thus it gets much more strategic game, as carrer mode should be.

More, as I said before, add more future turnaments, not just 2 per week...we need more choice...as a player in red with base in Croatia, I dont want to go to play in Honduras or Ruanda :D
Give us more options, at least 1 or 2 per continent each week...thus you wont have inactive players as you now pretty much have them a lot...

example...you have 1000 players active...you have 3 ATP tournaments...that is around 150 players active...+ 3 challengers - thats aroudn 400 players active...by adding at least 6 futures...you would get another 400-500 active players each week...total of around 900...
You probably know more exact numbers, but roughly, im not that far away
Basically give us more choice to influence our carrers...make it as tycoonie as you can without losing real spirit of the game...we understand that at one point you cant spend all the money you earn...but make it more difficult to get to that point...but, also give us posibility to surprise everyone and win major with 18 hahahha...in extreme cases with lots of luck, of course

Blackyy,
1 note : currently, retired players aren't deleted. You still can access them by checking old tournament draws. I'll try to add another access to them in TEM2, likely by adding access to old rankings.

I like this idea.

Blackyy wrote:If player retires, make it possible to still see his player card...to see how many tournaments he won, what tournaments he won, and to see head to head between him and any other players. I think what Blackyy is suggesting is the addition of an almanac or ledger page where you can find the 'career' results of a player during the time they were under contract to you. This could be a subheading under 'Activity' in the Draws, Tournaments section called 'Historical Activity'. It would include the last 52 weeks they were under contract (or the whole time if the contract was voided before 52 weeks), ending with a summary line for each year and career, and the same option as the current 'Activity' page to see how the player had done in Grand Slam tournaments. Keeping the head-to-heads is an interesting idea I hadn't thought of.
* * * * * *
Some ideas of my own. The first is a set of injury ideas, based on my experiences in my current campaign.

First, I've noticed through many campaigns that in any stable of four players there will be one who almost never gets injured, two who are 'normally' injured and one who always seems to be injured. I'm sure that's a coincidence, but it makes some sense. Perhaps players could have a HIDDEN tendency toward injury, getting a 0.5, 1.0 or 1.5 modifier to their chance of injury. It would be up to the coach to try to determine whether a player who is often injured is injury-prone, or just unlucky. :fear:

Second, in my current campaign there was a tournament recently where my often-injured player had a 'gastric upset' during pre-tournament sparring, recovered, then had a relapse during her first round singles match. Her doubles partner (another of my players) then came down with the same thing during the first round of doubles. This seemed so logical that it took me a minute to realize that it was a game coincidence. My suggestion is that in cases of Gastric Problem or Nausea only, there should be a chance for it to spread. There could be 1.25 or 1.5 modifier to other players for each of the following conditions: players of same stable at same location; sparring partner or doubles partner at same location; players of same stable at same hotel; singles or doubles match opponent. Any modifier would last for the rest of the week, then reset. Note that I would apply these modifiers to computer players who are sparring or doubles partners, or singles or doubles opponents. To counterbalance the increase in frequency from these modifiers you might have to drop the initial frequency to 0.8 or lower.

Third is a suggestion that has to do with how the game week proceeds. After giving the changes in rankings and results from the previous week, instead of immediately asking about flights and hotels, the game should go to some neutral page with a list of which players need to go to which tournaments. This gives the player a chance to hire and fire trainers, assign trainers to travel with certain players and have their travel paid, assign which coach or assistant goes with each player or stays at the center, and assign which players pay. Then you click on a symbol to take you to the travel and hotel sequence, then on to the tournament pairings. Trying to make these assignments the week before, when you don't know which players will be going to qualifying tournaments, be wildcarded, or be denied entry is frustrating. :?
