Requests for Player.ini Editing

Postby percy896 » 06 Jun 2007, 23:38

Hi Manutoo, hope all is well.

I have a couple of requests for things to be editable in the player.ini. They shouldn't be difficult to do so if you have any time it would be much appreciated :) .

1. Editing how much individual players play.
-For example: Some players in real life tend to play a lot of events, while others play very few. If possible, some way to change how much a certain player plays would be excellent.

2. Editing how well a player plays on a particular surface.
-I know that Defenders play better on slow surfaces, and Volleyers play better on fast surfaces, but in real life this is not always true. Some players just play better on clay because they are used to it, even if they some to net a lot. I would like a way to edit preferences for a specific player for how well they play on a surface, or something like that. I doubt this would be too difficult to make (but what do I know?).

3. Editing mental toughness (for CPU simulations).
-This is probably the most important part of tennis, and I think it should be part of TE2006. At least for the computer simulated results, it would be great if mental toughness would be put into place in the big matches in important tournaments. So you could make it editable in Players.ini a number that made the player play better or worse in Grand Slams, Finals, etc. (or just Grand Slams). Please, this would be amazing.

As always, thank you Manutoo. You are great 8)

I'm just bumping this topic up because there was no response. Hopefully Manutoo you can get a chance to read these requests.

Hello,

I read it at 1st, but as it wasn't urgent, I put it "for later", and then I forgot about it...
Anyway, I noted down all your requests, but I surely won't do them for TE2006, maybe for TE2006, though...

BTW, TEM already offers an even better score simulation, and I think I'll use it for TE2007...
for TEM, about 2), the new skills define even better the players, and with tuning, it should be possible to create a defender playing better on fast (or at least normal) surfaces.

Great, I am very excited!

How does the TEM06 score simulation differ from TE06? Do things like "inconstancy" and stess lowering apply in the player.ini like in TE06?

Hello,

1- TEM06 has become "TEM" only ;)

2- what ?! you still didn't try it ?

So in TEM, each player has his own Consistency, Cold Blood and Concentration skills from which are calculated the inconstancy and stress lowering during the matches.

The players can also decide to play more relaxed, when they play against a low ranked player, to save their energy. The consequence is that the scores between hi ranked & low ranked players are much more realistic (there's not anymore 6/0 by dozen ;) )

There are also other new mental skills, which are important in the simulation, and of course, many other new technical and physical skills, to define very precisely all the players.

No I have tried it, of course! In fact I own it!
I guess consistancy and concentration work the same as inconstancy and inconstpow (or whatever it is).
