suggestions! [lower volleyers strength]

Hi.

It is way too difficult to make a point against the player on the net. I don't say it is impossible, but only few players can get through the volleyers and they don't do that easy. The idea is to make this easier for the rest, and I believe small changes would do that.

In most cases they manage to block every kind of shot, run and catch every lob.. and our diagonal lobs usually end in out (not sure if this is fixed in a new update).

So I have couple of suggestions:

1.more effective lobs
-make backward run a bit slower
-if a lob is good, there should be a certain high level where the opponent returns that lob by default so that he cannot catch easily the next forehand or backhand
-and also: returning the lob doing the drop shot is difficult, so that kind of shot should end in the net more often, and when not, it should rebounce higher!

2.make reflexes on the net a bit weaker
-it would be great if some of the baseliner's backhands or forehands could make a point against volleyers, because at this moment reflexes are too strong; it is not nice to see that a net player manage to catch 95% shots, no matter how far away of the ball he is

Hope you'll consider this,
regards from Croatia..

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Neil Armstrong once said: "That's small change for game engine but a giant one for the gameplay"

I disagree, there are too much changes!

If you can't win then try harder instead destroying one style of play (one that dosen't fit with your style).

I agree that there should be changes, lik slower backward run, and slower reflekses on the net.

Every thing else is too much, like this drop shot that he mentioned, thats pretty easy to catch but some of them just don't know where to stand and how to move during point, but they're pretty lazy to learn it, so they want you to make it easier for them!

If you do this, then lob will be unreturnable, as far as I know lob is kind of shot that rearly succeed.

Thats all from me.

Hello,

I guess the original poster means about off-line game against the CPU, coz I cannot lower reflexes of online players...

So :
1. The lobs are already more effective since the new Build of last February

2. it won't any other changes now, but it'll have for TE2007 ; more info in this topic : https://www.managames.com/Forum/ftopic478.php

why? that's really too bad :( this could ruin fun of online gaming, and I know many people who play TE especially because of online games.

1.can you tell us what are the lob changes then? obviously, we are still experiencing many problems.

2.when will TE2007 be released? and when will beta version of TE07 be released?

and I need to ask one more question:
3.if we buy a key now, will we be able to use it for TE 2007?

Hello,

Reflexes of online players are reflexes of human players, I cannot come to your home and hit your head each time you have too much reflexes...
I may lower the speed of the jump or stuff like that, but as far as I played, it didn't seem to be a big necessity (for the online games).

1. The attack lob (not the defense one !) got more top spin effect and a bit more speed, therefore, it's a bit more efficient...

2. TE2007 will be there for the end of the year if everything goes alright, but as often, everything doesn't go right, it may be for beginning of 2008 (so it'll be named TE2008  )

3. TE2007 will be very likely available to TE2006 users for a 40~50% discount.

Reflexes of online players are reflexes of human players

We are talking about 'jump distance' and 'jump speed' of the volleyers, if right positioned they can cover both sides and catch 95% of the forehands and backhands (no matter how good they are).

You should play against our pro-volleyers, just a few minutes and you'll see the problem

Well we're talking about player's possibility to catch almost every ball on the net. That jump of his I call reflex :)

If I hit the ball to the audience, again he just presses 1+2 and jump to that ball. Joke of course, but I'm just showing how frustrated some people (including me) are.

That's what I'm talking about. And believe me, you should play our best Balkan volleyers, it will come as a big necessity.

That's the reason why we suggest couple of solutions, not just this one. We only want to make a game better and more interesting, and I'm afraid that a lot of us will quit from TE as it becomes boring and frustrating.

You said that TE2007 (or 2008) is coming out in a half a year or more and that's just too much time. It would really be nice if you considered our suggestions.

So that means 5€ for less developed countries ?

Thank you for your time

Ok, I understand better the trouble now.
I'll reduce by ~50% the jump speed for the new build (coming in a couple of weeks), and you'll let me know if it's good enough or not.

About the discount, if you already got TE2006 with a discount, you may not be able to get TE2007 with a special discount (ie: you'll pay TE2007 the same price that you pay TE2006), or just with a little discount ( ~ 20% )
