A marketing consideration... [Remove the demo time limit]

Postby Forehand » 13 Oct 2006, 08:11

Personally, I believe you will have more sales success if you don't put a time limit on the demo. That's because the demo is more than just a "game" demo. It is a marketing tool. You want it on as many PCs as it can get to, and you want lots of people to try it. You want the demo to PERSIST in the market place....ever growing with each download...expanding to new customers...growing....growing.

Given a certain percentage of those touched by the demo will buy the demo, maximizing the numbers touched will maximine the sales percentages accordingly.

Just something to consider.

Hello,

the time limit pushes people to buy the game... ;)

But i'm considering to remove it for the online mode, so people who have bought the game could find more opponents to play with online...

I'd suggest allowing that for online mode.

I'd also allow them to play on other courts than the blue-green cement, because I hate always playing on it.

I need grass or indoor synthetic so I can BAM aces like my hero Ivo Karlovic. :p
