Way to shorten matches [number of sets]

Postby Leena » 14 Sep 2006, 21:39

Hello,

I just have a couple questions.

1) Is there any way to shorten matches in the world tour? I'm assuming through tennis.ini. Like to lower the amount of sets to win, and/or to lessen amount of games needed to win.

2) Has anyone created a mod that has the WTA players and schedule for world tour? Obviously, I know all players will look like men. :p But, I don't care.

Thanks for any answers.

Leena.

Hello,

I didn't see the data folder before, so I see how to shorten matches now. :) But, I'm still a little lost.

I don't understand what the number after SetType= is. For some it's 0, and some it's 1. What's the difference.

Hello,

so there are several ways to shorten the match lenght.

1a) SetType is a reference to a setting in your current game, but you shouldn't change this.
Instead, you can open the file "Profiles\Default\WT_Current.ini" and change all the lines with :
NbSet_[n][t] = x
where:
- [n] can be 0, 1, 2, 3 (that's the SetType num you saw in the TourCategory.ini) or q (for qualifications)
- [t] can be n for normal tour, or f for final
- x is the number of sets

Example :
NbSet_3n = 1
will change normal rounds of the tournaments which have "SetType = 3" (ie: Grand Slam) to be played in 1 set.

1b) just enter the cheat code "mtkil" (without the quotes) to win the match after you won the 1st set (for example)

1c) turn on the "Advanced options" in the "Misc Options" menu, then start a new game in the "World Tour" : you'll see then an additional screen letting you choose the number of sets depending of the tournament type.

1d) Still in the "Misc Options" menu, after you'll have turned on the "Advanced options", you'll see the additional setting: "Games per set".

2) No, I didn't hear about WTA data for Tennis Elbow. But if someone did one, I hope he/she could share it with all of us..! :)
