Is there any way to make the default grass court in warmup/single match mode the new/unused court instead of the worn down one?

Hello,

yes, it's possible.
Open the Tennis.ini (or the Profiles\[Name of your Profile].ini) , and change this line, under [TrainingClub] :
Attrition = 1.0
to :
Attrition = 0.0
for a new grass
or :
Attrition = 0.5
for a average damaged grass
