That's not true, im almost sure i've played more matches than u and its already to hard to pass a guy at the net then it was before..If ur net skills are good and u approach well to the net its easier to win than playing in baseline.. My suggestion is improve ur skills at net then give it a try agai...

its ur position, if u arrive late at the ball and dont hit the ball well with the racket u'll problably miss..so yeah it's a confidence factor of you, the player
